Our air bladders are made from a special material which produces smoother walls, result in a lighter rim, and are completely removed without harsh chemicals. They are removed through the valve hole with a unique process so that the rim does not have to be patched like traditional manufacturers use. This significantly improves the strength of the rims. Read More about our process here
Each rim carries its own layup schedule documents which are followed meticulously by the layup workers. Our Engineering team creates a unique fiber orientation which amplifies the desired riding characteristics for a given rim.
Angled spoke holes allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. This results in fewer broken spokes and nipples.
U-shape profile spreads the force of impacts and creates a more robust product.
The small ridges on either side of the drop channel help secure tubeless tires in place. The bead lock makes it easier to seal up tubeless tires with a floor pump, and they are incredibly hard to burp.
While the rims are optimized for a tubeless setup with the addition of tubeless tape, they also work with tubes.
The profile allows for equalized spoke tension which creates a stronger wheel that stays true.
Carbon fiber flows continuously over the bead area to provide the best impact resistance and a significant strength increase compared to a clincher rim.
Constructed with premium Toray T700 carbon fiber. The best strength to weight ratio with no expense spared.

Ryan :

Is the en733 suitable for industry nine 2.9/2.7 butted spokes? Thank you.

2017-01-14

LightBicycle :

Hello Ryan, Thanks for your inquiry. The strongest spokes that can be used on our rims are double butted 2/1.8/2mm. The industry nine 2.9/2.7 butted spokes are too stiff to use with carbon rims. It is not allowed to be used on our rims or there is no warranty. Can you change to double butted 2/1.8/2mm spokes? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Gary :

Hi I'm looking to buy a pair of your 650b en733 rims, could you tell me what length spokes I'd need for 32h hope pro 4 hubs with j bend spokes. 100x15 front and 142x12 rear. Thanks

2016-12-08

LightBicycle :

Hello Gary, Below are the spokes length for your reference. Due to the complexity and variations with calculating spoke lengths, we cannot guarantee the spokes will be the perfect length for your wheels. So, it will be best if you confirm the spokes length with your own builder. -Wheelset: EN733 built with Hope pro4 J-bend 6-bolt 32H hubs -Lacing pattern: 3 cross for front and rear -Front wheel: 260mm-NDS, 261mm-DS -Rear wheel: 260mm-NDS, 259mm-DS Thanks, Lightbicycle

Toby :

Hi, Will you make this in a 29er version? Thanks!

2016-11-03

Light-Bicycle :

Hello Toby, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, only 38mm wide 29er rim is available. The strength is similar to 40mm width rim. May I know your riding terrain and weight? Do you ride aggressively? Then we will check if the 38mm rim is suitable for you also. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Toby :

Hi, I ride an aggro, long travel, 29er in the same way the enduro version of this rim is supposed to be ridden. I think it would be nice to have this option as well. Thanks!

Hello Toby, Our 38mm wide 29er HD rim is suitable for you. The HD version has extra layers for increased stiffness and sidewall reinforcement. Ideal for large and aggressive riders. RM29C14 (38mm HD version): 515 /-15g, $193/pcs Thanks, Light-bicycle

Scott :

About to pull the trigger on a pair of these but am a little concerned with my spoke lengths. I have a pair of industry nine torch hubs that I plan on using. Who can I speak with about this?

2016-09-29

Light-Bicycle :

Hello Scott, If you are unsure of the spoke lengths, please let us know the following and we can calculate the spoke length for you. -Hub manufacturer name and model -Hole count -Front and rear axle width -Straight pull or J-bend? -If you are using nipples with larger heads (double square, Squorx, or hex head for example), then we need to know this as the spokes are 1-2mm longer. -Do you have a spoke lacing preference? 2-cross or 3-Cross? Thanks, Light-bicycle

Light-Bicycle :

Hello Adwin, Thanks for your inquiry. The EN733 wheelset built with DT 240S boost hubs and DT competition race spokes is USD1080/pair. We have rear hub with Sram xx1 which works for SRAM XX1 eagle 12 speed. Sorry, it is not allowed to make ENVE decals on our rims. It will be considered as copy rims if the custom stops to check it. Can you change the graphic to other design? Or we have the attached orange sticker for you if that works for you. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Mark :

I was wondering what the ERD for the EN733 enduro 40mm rims is? is it possible to lace these rims up to industry nine proprietary straight pull spokes if the ERD matches ?

2016-08-04

Light-Bicycle :

Hello Mark, Thanks for your inquiry. The rim ERD is 538mm not including nipple head dimension. Normally, you need to get some new spokes, because the rim ERD is different, so the spoke length will be different. In theory, if both rims’ ERD match, you can use the same spokes. Thanks, Light-bicycle
