Hi There, Do you have any pictures of the different color nipples. I'd like to see the difference between 'green' and 'lime'. Thank you Simon

LightBicycle 2020/07/16

Hi Simon, Yes, we do have lots of nipple colors optional. https://www.lightbicycle.com/images/newsletter/Brass-and-Alloy-Nipple-Comparison/brass-vs-alloy-nipple-colors.jpeg Thanks, Lightbicycle

STM 2019/02/19

Im just bought a YT Jeffsy 29 CF and looking to upgrade the wheels. what do u recommend? Im also not sure about all the specs of my current wheels. May be you can help me out. Im thinking about a lightweight XC/AM to replace my heavy E13 sets. something like the 29C19. whats the pros and cons from ordering directly from China vs US? thx STM

LightBicycle 2019/02/20

Hi STM, Congratulations on the new bike, are you having the white one or the black one? is this the bike you have? ( https://us.yt-industries.com/detail/index/sArticle/1926 ) If so, below would be the match specs to the bike. I would recommend our AM724 to you. It's lightweight (385+/-15g/rim), asymmetrical, durable and design intended for XC/AM riding. Or if you prefer symmetrical rim RM29C19? We usually recommend asymmetrical wheels to our customers for its' better speak tension balance \Here're the quotes for your ref, let me know if you have any questions. The 29er wheelset is USD750/pair with below specs: --RIMS: RM29C19, 30mm wide, UD, matte, 28H --HUBS: Black DT SWISS 350, front 15*110mm boost/rear 12*148mm boost, Shimano MTB 11s, straight pull, center lock --SPOKES: Sapim CX-Ray, straight pull --NIPPLES: Black alloy. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi Guiseppe, I am sorry for the late reply! We were not working on the weekend. Do you want 29er wheelset? I have tried to find the Mongoose XR PRO bike on the official web, but I didn't find it. Could you send me a link of your bike? So I can check it and will recommend and quote accordingly. Your email address is wrong. We tried to email you, but it failed. Can you check on your email address and correct it please? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Is the price of a single rim $289? Thanks for the help!

LightBicycle 2018/02/02

Jason 2017/10/18

Hello, What is the tire width range for the 29er 38mm rim? I'm torn between skinnier XC specific tires and plus size. Thank you, Jason

LightBicycle 2017/10/19

Hi Jason, Thanks for your inquiry! We have got your message on our website. For RM29C14(38mm wide) rim, it can fit 2.3"~2.8" tire. Which tire width will you use? Then we can check on whether it works. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Cam 2017/04/25

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my wheels off me 2017 Trek Fuel EX 9.8, they are Bontranger Line 30's, looking for something the same width. Would also like a decent Hub with good engagement, but also as light as possible. Would you please have any recommendations? Cheers Cam

LightBicycle 2017/04/26

Hello Cam, Thanks for your inquiry. According to your info, we’d like to recommend the 30mm wide 29er wheels which are similar to your current wheels. However, may I know what your riding terrain is normally? Do you ride aggressively? What is your weight? Then we will double check if 30mm wide wheels are strong enough for your riding. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Patrick 2016/12/12

Hi LB, Can you email me a quote for this build? - All Mountain Cross country carbon 29er MTB wheelset 30mm wide tubeless compatible (29C19). I ride mostly Single track trails and fairly "ok" downhills. Nothing crazy. But i want something strong and light. I don't feel like I need enduro wheels. I weigh 70kgs. If you have some recommendations I'm open to them as well. Note in my specs below that my FRONT is a Boost Fork. My REAR is 12/142mm standard. Front axle: 15 / 110mm BOOST Rear axle: 12/142mm (NON-Boost) Freehub body: Shimano MTB 10/11S Brake system: 6-bolt Front holes: 32H Rear holes: 32H Spoke head: J-bend Hub Color: Orange Hub Brand: Hope Hub Model: Pro 4 44T Spoke: Sapim CX Ray Nipple: Brass Black Finish: matte Weave: UD Decal: Black Valve Stem: Add Valve Stem Tubeless Tape: None

LightBicycle 2016/12/13

Hello Patrick, Thanks for your inquiry. The 30mm wide 29er wheelset price as required (with Hope pro4 front boost/ rear 12*142mm standard hub and Sapim cx-ray spokes) is $887/pair. The valve stem is $7 each. The delivery cost is $78 for one wheelset to USA by EMS. All pricing in USD. The 30mm width is design for gentle all mountain riding. If you take downhill riding also, it will be great to choose the wider 34mm/ 35mm/ 38mm width wheels. They are much stronger and durable enough for aggressive riding also. What do you think of this? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Chris 2016/11/14

I want to put 3.0 inch tires on a 29 rim. I am not a technical mountain bike rider. 1. What is the recommended tire size range to put on this rim? 2. If not this rim, do you have a suggestion for rims for 3.0 inch tires?

LightBicycle 2016/11/15

Hello Chris, Thanks for your inquiry. The recommend tires width for 30mm width rim are 2.1’’-2.7’’. Our 38mm and 50mm wide 29er rims are able to work with 3.0 inch tires. May I know what your riding terrain is normally? Do you ride aggressively? What is your weight? Then we will do some recommendations and quote accordingly. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mat 2016/10/26

Looking for the lightest possible wheelset with boost hubs and rim inner width of 24 mm. The choice is obviously then the DT240. Would you recommend the 28 spoke version? I ride cross country and weigh approx 85 kg.

Light-Bicycle 2016/10/26

Hello Mat, Thanks for your inquiry. Normally, we recommend 32H spoke version. More spokes give the rim greater strength and rigidity. According to your details, it will be great go with 32H. It is much stronger. Thanks, Light-bicycle

I didn't see an option for 28h J-bend DTSwiss 240 Boost hubs on your build options. Is this option available? Thanks. BTW I've been riding and racing (XC) for two seasons on a set of wheels I built with your rims (RM29C19 Front, RMXC923 Rear). They don't need to be trued and are holding up really well. I'm very happy with the rims and have been recommending them.

Light-Bicycle 2016/10/08

Hello Cris, Thanks for your continued support and happy to hear that you like our rims. Currently, only 28H DT 240S straight pull boost hubs and 32H DT 240S J-bend boost hubs are available, not 28H J-bend boost hubs. Does that work for you? Thanks, Light-bicycle

David 2016/09/27

Hi I'm looking at a set off RM29c19 rims or wheels. whats the lightest weight rims of this model you have in stock please, also if i went for a complete build set what would be the lightest setup hubs, straight pull, j bend/ spokes etc.. you recommend and how long do they take to be built and arrive in the UK please? I had 2 sets of the 34mm external asymmetrical rims earlier this year and they arrived within 7 days great service!

Light-Bicycle 2016/09/28

Hello David, Thanks for your continued support. The lightest RM29C19 we stocked are 389g and 391g. UD matte 32H RM29C19 are in stock and wheels will ship within 2 business days. EMS delivery takes another 4-7 days to arrive. It will be great if you place the order today, because we will have a 7days holiday from 1st ~ 7th Oct (Chinese National Day). Or we will ship out the wheels when we get back to holiday. The lightest hubs we have here are DT 240S straight pull 28H hubs. However, we don’t have any 28H rim in stock. If you prefer lightest wheels, it will be shipped out around 18th Oct. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Josh 2016/09/22

Hi LB, I am looking to upgrade to carbon wheelset for my 29er Trek Superfly 9.6. I am 230lbs and I ride light-medium XC/trail mostly tame terrain with the odd rock garden. What are the ride differences in comparing the 29C19 and AM928 wheelsets? And the differences between UD and 3k weave? Which would you recommend? Lastly, which build of hubs and spokes will give the lightest build for your recomendation? Regards, Josh

Light-Bicycle 2016/09/23

Hello Josh, Thanks for your inquiry. Both RM29C19 and AM928 rims feature angled spoke holes, a modern u-shaped profile, have a bead lock and work with or without tubes. Both rims also have a low profile hookless bead with a large radius which helps reduce pinch flats, and are suitable for XC or trails riding. Our 34mm asymmetrical rims will have more even spoke tension than our 30mm which results in a more durable wheel build. The low tension spokes will be at higher tension compared to a traditional rim which results in less wheel re-truing. The 34mm are wider and deeper so the lateral and vertical stiffness are increased. According to your details, I think AM928 is more suitable for your riding. Thanks, Light-bicycle
