The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Why is the equivalent wheel build of the B13 wheelset cheaper than the AM733? How do they really differ?

Hi Brandon, The essential difference between those two model is the rim profile. AM733 is with asymmetrical rim profile while RM650BC13 is symmetric. Asymmetrical rim profile, it provides better spoke tension balance between drive-side and non-drive side. It will make rims/wheels more durable, and it provides 2 years warranty service. So asymmetrical rims/wheels are with much higher price You can choose the rims building on your own condition. Or if you like, I can make some suggestion to you.
