Debbie 2021/04/15

Hi, how well do these rims fare under direct sunlight? Is it safe to let the bike (with the rims) stand in the sun for an extended period of time? What about leaving it in a black car in the Sahara desert at noon? Can you please clarify how resistant they are to heat? I suppose cold is not an issue?

LightBicycle 2021/04/15

Hi Debbie, The rims will deform or damaged if near heat sources like fire, exhaust pipes, etc. Putting the rims under the sun won't be a problem. It will absorb heat, yes, but won't affect the character of the rim itself per se. What would be the environment temperature exactly do you likely put the wheels? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Pete 2021/03/18

Can you please clarify whether the core of the provided valves is removable?

LightBicycle 2021/03/18

Hi Pete, Yes, the decals around the valve core is removable. The decal is sticker type. Of you can leave a message to us so we don't apply it to your rims in the first place. Or, we can pack the decals separately so you can apply it yourself. Let me know how you like to proceed so I can help. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I want to order some 26 rims from you and I plan on using the for bmx racing and dirt jumping. I know I want the HD version but my concern is I run my tires at 60-65psi and I also weigh 195 pounds. What rim do you offer for this application.

LightBicycle 2020/06/13

Hi Kevin, What 26er tires are you planning to run? We can special made reinforced version on the HD version basics. Dirt jumps would require much stronger rim, especially for the rear. I would suggest rims with hook bead design for you since you plan to run with 60-65psi. Will it work for you? The RM26C02 26er bike rim is with 23mm internal, 30mm outer width. Thanks, Lightbicycle

FRANK 2020/05/08

Hi quick question. Im looking to order this 26 inch rim. Could i use the rest of the hardware (spokes, hubs and stems) from my existing rim? Best regards

LightBicycle 2020/05/08

Hi Frank, It is okay to use our 26er rims on your current hubs. But for spoke, maybe the spoke length has to be different, then you will have to use new spokes/nipples. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I am considering the RM26C03 AM or RM26C03 HD (maybe AM front / HD rear?) for my 4X bike that I mainly use at the BMX track. I need to pump my tires to at least 60 psi - will that be a problem with these rims? I have a set of Enve M90s on another build and I always pump them even higher than 60 psi (with inner tubes) and never had any problems. Please advise, thanks!

LightBicycle 2019/10/22

Hi Brendan, Is it your BMX bike 24" or 26"? Then we can check which bike rims are better for you. We have 24" BMX downhill rims/wheels here. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello I want to use your rims for dirt jumping, because they are light and stiff enough for my riding style, i suppose. But one question left: I will use rim with tubes, and usually I ride 65-70 psi in my tyres. Won't your rim brake under this pressure? i'm 70 kg and have technical riding style. If it will break, will you make some special rims for dirt jumping and pump track in the future? I think they will be popular! Thank you in advance.

LightBicycle 2018/09/17

Hi Mitya, For the RM26C03 (MTB rim, 33mm wide), The hookless version and only OK for the tire pressure under 40psi. There is gravel 650b rim(RG722,29mm wide, 36mm deep) ) here. Is 650b size OK for you? RG722 is OK for 65-70 psi. You can check out more about the rim at https://www.lightbicycle.com/Disc-650B-gravel-rims-29mm-wide-36mm-deep-tubeless-for-cyclocross-and-gravel-bikes.html We will discuss more with you by mail. Please do remember to check your inbox. Thanks,

I prefer to wait until you got this rims in Euro warehouse. As I read, shipping from this warehouse is free, instead $90 from China warehouse. Best regards

LightBicycle 2018/05/28

Hi Paco, I will let you know when RM26C03 is stocked in EU and quote for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Callan 2017/12/28

Hi Team, I'm a big fan of your wheels , and currently run the RM26C03 (33mm width / non HD). I'm looking to fit Schwalbe Procore to protect the rims and run lower pressures without burping the tyres. Have you done any testing of Procore on these rims, and are they able to take 6 bar of pressure? Thanks, Callan

LightBicycle 2017/12/28

Hello Callan, Thanks for your support. For the Procore system, we do not have a lot of testing information on it, but so far the customers we've heard from say it's working. Personally, I think our 33mm rims do not have tire burping issues. The larger issue is with g-outs, not impacts from too low of pressure (generally speaking), so I am not sure if Procore is super beneficial. For inner chamber, it can work with 4-6 bar. It will be better if you go with 4bar. For outer chamber, you can try 0.8-1.5 bar. Thanks, Lightbicycle

crabby 2017/08/08

What is the tire size for the listed max pressure? Interested in running these rims on a dirt jump bike for cruiser class BMX racing, and hoping to get closer to 65/70psi. Is that possible?

LightBicycle 2017/08/09

Hi Crabby, For all our mtb rims, it can hold to 75psi. The rim strength is okay. But we are worring the tires will blow out if you ride around 65/70psi while cornoring. It is better to ride less than 40psi on these rims. Is your bike BMX? We only hear about 20" BMX bikes. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Ivan 2016/04/02

Hello, I currently own a pair of Industry 9 Torch Trail 32h 26in Alum and I'm looking to swap the rims to wider carbon rims. I like the Torch hubs and color spokes and was wondering if I can still use the same spokes with the RM26C03 rim. I don't know enough about what the correct spoke lenght is. The Torch Trail rims are 534mm ERD and I think the spokes length 266mm (I think). Thanks!

Light-Bicycle 2016/04/05

Hello Ivan, Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry for the late reply. We were on vacation last 3 days. For our RM26C03 rim, it is with 515mm ERD. For spoke length, it will be also different if the lacing is different. So, you can check below link to get correct spoke length. http://www.prowheelbuilder.com/spokelengthcalculator/ You only have to fill in rim ERD:515mm, and choose the hubs and the lacing pattern you like. Then you will get the spoke length. Thanks, Lightbicycle

J

Jeff 2017/06/12

Ivan, did you ever find a wider carbon rim that would work with your existing I9 Torch hubs and spokes with the 534 ERD? If so, do you mind telling me which ones you found? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2017/06/13

Hi Jeff, If you use the 26er downhill riding, I recommend you 38mm wide 26er heavy duty rim which is more durable and specially designed for downhill riding. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Martin 2017/03/27

Hey LB, i was wondering if the RM26C03 will come with angled holes? Thanks, Martin

LightBicycle 2017/03/28

Hello Martin, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, the RM26C03 is drilled with angle hole ( /-6 degree). Picture attached for your reference. Angled spoke holes allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi. I am planning to buy the heavy duty version of this RM26CO03. Please let me know the ERD of the heavy duty carbon rim so I can determine the right length os spokes. Thank you

Light-Bicycle 2016/04/25

Hi Winston, For the RM26CO03 with heavy duty, the ERD is 515mm. We will add more carbon materials to the wall thickness to reinforce the heavy duty version. The ERD are the same for the AM and HD version. Thanks, Lightbicycle
