At only 445g with an aerodynamic 45mm deep profile, the R45 disc is our jack-of-all-trades rim. Whether you are chasing KOMs on the mountain or racing your buddies to the next checkpoint, this rim is for you.

With a 45mm depth, this rim offers all the aerodynamic benefits of a much deeper profile in a lighter package that’s easier to control in crosswinds. If there’s climbing to do, these could be your best choice.

Holger : The wheels arrived yesterday and are of a decent quality. I mounted Continental GP5000 tubeless tire (without any trouble) and tested them for the first 100km today. They look great and they ride great , too. I’ve attached some pictures. Maybe later this year I might need a new gravel wheelset and quite sure will order them from your company. Lukas : I love those wheels. I have them since February, been riding them for about 4000km, without any issues. The spoke tension and centricity is still super, I am quite a heavy rider (96 kg at 197cm), I had other wheelsets from other more known manufacturers that had to be serviced after a short time. All in all a very high-quality wheelset for a super affordable price.

hello, i am interesting in buying two rims. I am between the AR46 and R45 models. I am running 28c tires and i would like to choose the stronger one between those two models and also with better handling in crosswinds. Which of these two do you recommend? What is the extra cost to build two rims with waterslide decals (one DT swiss word per side ) and clearcoated after? If i choose without decals will the rims be clearcoated by default?

Hi George, If you ride 28C, we recommend AR46 for you. The tire width has to be as close to wheel width, and slightly smaller than wheel width. So, AR46-28mm wide 700C road disc is better for you. For customized decal, we can not make DT Swiss word on wheels. It is not allowed. You can have your own design or your name on it. Normally for one~two color graphic at normal size, the graphic cost is around USD85. If you choose" without decal", the rims will be nature carbon black, there will be clear coating only, without any logo or decals on it. Thanks, Lightbicycle
