Yes, our 33mm width or 38mm width 26er DH rims are manufactured by new manufacturing process with one-piece-layer, to make carbon fiber layer continuous and rims strongest. Hello Simon, Thanks for your inquiry. The hookless "lips" on the 38mm rim are 3.2mm wide vs. 3mm on the asymmetrical rim. Both are the same depth and are quite strong. Technically the 38mm yields a slightly higher impact resistance, but it's quite close. You will get more even spoke tension with the asymmetrical rim which makes for a more durable wheel build, so the 34mm has the advantage there. I would go by width in this case as the strength is so similar. If you prefer a slightly more round and more natural tire profile with medium stiffness, go with the asymmetrical rims. If you prefer a wider more squared off profile with more volume, then go with the 38's. Go with the heavier version of either rim in your case as you are heavier and riding more aggressively. And their stiffness and durability are improved also. Currently, the new 34mm wide 650B asymmetric rim is available. It is 410g /-15, USD200/pcs. Please find attached rim profile. 3k/12k/UD are the 3 choices for cosmetic appearance. The rim strength & weight is virtually identical. UD Matte is the most popular. Which do you prefer? We will start to sell it around at the end of this month. They are both manufactured with new process and also tubeless-compatible. Our carbon rims are all with good quality. Please find the attached cross-section drawings of rims. Which one do you prefer? You can let us know what kind of graphic you like for rims. Then we can make graphic file for your reference. It will need extra cost for custom graphic. But there are copyright restrictions. If the graphic you provided is a brand. It's easy to be detained by custom, so we don't recommend you to have this kind of decals on the rims.You make your own graphic design, then we can manufacture accordingly for you. The video is not very clear, so we will upload once we have new ones finished. 650b rim impact test:Tire Pressure of wheel: 25 /-0.5psiWeight of impact metal part: 22.5KG, the impact surface of metal part is sharp(around 90degree, not a flat or radian surface)Testing height: 600mm for normal version 700mm for stronger version 800mm for down hill versionFor each rim, we choose 6 points to 8 points for impact testing.For each point, we do impact test once. For 26er wide rims, currently, we do not have the plan to change it to use new manufacturing. 26er wide rims failure rate is very low.The strength is now stable. But we will consider it after Chinese New Year vacation( Feb 4th to Feb 17th).Now, we are doing on 29er wider rims. If everything goes on well, we will try on 26er wide rims.
