What about Continental GP5000 TL 700x28/30/32 mm how it's easy to insall and how it wide ? P.S. my rim WR45 (25/32) Thanks

LightBicycle 2020/07/24

Hi Sir, Currently the tires that we tried have all listed on above chat. You can click "WR(WIDE ROAD) RIMS(32MM)" and find more data. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Jonathan 2024/02/09

Light Bicycle, Can you update your tested tires to include more 30mm and 32mm models? I am interested in the WR rim tire width measurements for Continental GP5000 S TR 700x28/30/32 tires. Please consider testing wider performance road tires, particularly in the 700x30 and 700x32 tire sizes, since their increasing popularity for greater rider comfort with little impact to speed.

LightBicycle 2024/02/09

Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your suggestion! We will let your team to test more tires, including 30mm/32mm tires. Which WR rims 700C are you interested in? We can try on these rims first for your reference. Thanks, Lightbicycle

David 2022/08/12

Hi, I am looking to use the WR65s with GP5000 30mm clinchers with TPU tubes. What is the maximum allowed pressure (PSI) here? Also, my frame has a 33mm clearance, do you think it could fit? Thanks, David

LightBicycle 2022/08/12

Hi David, For 33mm clearance, WR65 wheelset with 32mm wide will be too wide to fit your bike. For your frame, it is beter to work 25mm wide wheelset. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Wayne 2022/04/20

Hello, I am looking at a build using your WR50 rims. I weigh 80 Kg, my bike is 8 kg. Will the flyweight version be ok for my weight? Also, will it be less stiff than the standard version? Also, is it possible to have a 28 spoke option for the rear wheel? I wonder if 28 spokes might offset the extra light rim? One more question: would there be any difference in stiffness between the AR 465 flyweight wheelset and WR50 flyweight wheelset (DT Swiss 240 hubs). Thanks! r the

LightBicycle 2022/04/21

Hi Wayne, If you're not riding too aggressively and the road is flat you can ride the WR50 road disc flyweight version 700C. The flyweight version is not as stiff as the standard version. Yes, we could supply 28H DT 240 EXP rear hub. I prefer you ride front flyweight version 24H, rear standard version 24H wheelset. Or front 24H/rear 28H wheelset also works. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Pieter 2021/11/11

Hi Light Bicycle, I'm wondering if you have information of using the new GP5000 S TR on a hookless WR rim? I want to use this configuration where the rim is ideally 105% the width of the real tire width. Thanks in advance! Pieter

LightBicycle 2021/11/11

Hi Pieter, We can manufacture WR series gravel rims in hookless for you. Which rim do you prefer? We can quote accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, About to purchase WR65 for gravel & road use — was planning on using Panaracer Gravelking slicks 32c (tubeless) on it. Would these inflate to be too wide to keep the aero benefits of the wheel? The narrower models don't have a tubeless option. Alternatively I also have WTB Exposure 30c available. Would it be possible for you to test inflating these 2 tyre models and sharing what their actual measured widths are? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2021/10/23

Hi Sir, According to the 105% rule, the 30c tire might be more aero compare to the 32c. You can put on the 2 tires for testing. They will fit in WR65 gravel wheel 700C road without any issues. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Greg 2021/01/30

I have a 2021 Giant Contend AR1 with Giant PR-2 disc wheels on it. I want something lighter, disc brakes, 700C that can run tubeless tyres anywhere from 28 to 38. Max weight limit of 130 kgs if possible.

LightBicycle 2021/01/30

Hi Greg, The Giant PR-2 disc wheels that you have currently is with 17.6mm inner width rim, which is close to our 17.9mm R rims. What depth do you like to have? We have from 25mm up to 55mm (10mm apart). But since you are considering running wider tires over 32c, I would recommend the 21mm internal AR rims (36mm and 46mm depth optional). Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Lightbicycle

P

Petr 2021/07/21

PR-2 disc on 2021 TCR have inner width close to 22mm, I dont remember correctly. My 28mm GP 5000 are close to 30mm on these rims.

LightBicycle 2021/07/21

Hi Petr, What was the tire pressure you run with? We only test one or two tires for each model. So the results vary from tire to tire. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Brandon 2021/05/20

I purchased Falcon AR46 wheels and I can't get Vittoria Terreno Drys on at all. Any recommendations for good gravel wheels around 35-38c that are easy to install?

LightBicycle 2021/05/20

Hi Brandon, What 700C road disc width are you using? Normally, it shouldn't be a problem for wide tires. Did you confirm that the tire beads are well seat on the center drop first before inflation? We intentionally design a deep drop so you can put the beads in easily. If you put one tire beads on the rim hook by accident, the other bead would likely not able to seat on the rim because it reaches the stretch limit. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Tom 2021/04/23

Hi, this is really helpful. Do you have a similar chart for the newer AR rims. I’m looking at the AR36 wheel set. Thanks

LightBicycle 2021/04/23

Hi Tom, We have the AR rims listed as a tab on the right. You might miss it when you scroll down. Can you check? Let me know if anything isn't working properly. I will do my very best to help. Here is the link for AR36 700C road disc wheelset. https://www.lightbicycle.com/Disc-650B-gravel-wheels-29mm-wide-36mm-deep-tubeless-for-cyclocross-and-gravel-bikes.html Thanks, Lightbicycle

NLaw 2021/02/07

Hi - what width wheels should I get for the: S-Works Turbo, 120 TPI, folding bead, BlackBelt protection, 700x26mm? I am interested in purchasing the Falcon AR56 Disc. Thanks!

LightBicycle 2021/02/08

Hi Sir, We have got your message. Is it your bike rim brake or disc? Is it wide enough for 30mm wide? If yes, it is okay to go for our AR56 disc 700C wheelset(30mm wide). If not ,you can go for 28mm wide/56mm deep wheels. We have a picture of it. I can send the rim profile for your check if you are interested in. Thanks, Lightbicycle

N

Nlaw 2021/02/08

My bike is disc. Please send picture of the rim profile so i can check. Thanks!

LightBicycle 2021/02/09

Hi Nlaw, Thanks for your inquiry! Which disc rims do you like? Then i can send the rim profile accordingly for you. What is your tire width? Then we can recommend which disc rims 700C are better for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

nlaw 2021/02/09

I am interested in the Falcon Ar56 Disc and the tires on my bike are S-Works Turbo, 120 TPI, folding bead, 700x26mm.

LightBicycle 2021/02/10

Hi Sir, S-Works Turbo is a tire, not a bike. What is your bike model? Is it a road disc 700C bike? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, may I know can Schwalbe One Pro 700x23c tubeless can fit on WR38 hooked? Thanks

LightBicycle 2020/12/25

Hi Siong, 23c tires will be too narrow for the 25mm internal wide WR38 rim road disc 700C. Our recommended tire range is 28c-50c. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Warwick 2020/11/23

Hi team on the WR38 hookless can you run 60-70psi in a 28mm tire if you have a tube inside (rather than tubeless)? And any tires you'd recommend

LightBicycle 2020/11/23

Hi Warwick, We found that 28c will offer the most aero advantage if you are looking for a faster ride. But a 32c tire will make a better profile so I would recommend the 32c tire over the 28c but you can use a 28c if you would like. According to our test, you should get really good performance feedback on 49-50psi while running 28-30c tires. In your case, 35c tires should go lower, say 38psi or so. We have our pressure chart listed if you need some reference. https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/Tubeless-Tire-Pressure-Charts.html Thanks, Lightbicycle

KSav 2020/08/02

If I'm reading this correctly, a 700 x 28 tire will balloon out past the sides of a 28mm rim. So if you wanted the maximum aerodynamic benefit while riding a 700 x 28 tire, you should put it on a 30mm rim. Is that accurate?

LightBicycle 2020/08/03

Hi Sir, Yes, the wheel width has to be slighter wider than tire width. Then it will get better aerodynamic on road wheels 700C. Thanks, Lightbicycle
