DT Swiss hubs use star ratchets and are available in 4 different models with varying points of engagement.
18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.
36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.
54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.
24T - Made out of hardened steel as e-bike specific.
EXP 36 - With only a single spring, making the hubs faster and lighter. More precise contact makes a longer lifespan.

Sapim D-Light – The best all-around and most popular spoke for carbon wheels. Lightweight but incredibly strong.
Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.
LB Thrust-4 Carbon - The Thrust-4 Carbon spokes are designed to boost high tensile strength. The 4mm all-road profile ensures great crosswind stability.
Berd PolyLight >> - It is constructed from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and are widely considered to be the lightest bicycle spoke option in the world.

We name this kind of superior finish the paintless.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.
With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.
No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.
Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.
The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.
It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.
Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. The WG44 is aero-optimized in width and depth dimensions, delivering a fast-rolling feel previously available only in narrow gravel rim and tire pairings. Featuring an inner width of 30mm and the widest part of the sidewall at 40mm, the WG44 reduces irregular air movements along the rim-tire interface. Hi, I sent an email about the Turbo 40 v Turbo 50, but I'd like to follow up and ask which wheelset of the Turbo 40, AR465, and WG44 (assuming proper tire pairing, all same build specs) is most aerodynamic? I'm contemplating two different scenarios - amateur road racing with climbing (old pavement, using 28-32 c tires), and gravel bike racing (40-50 c tires), also with climbing. Hi, I'm interested in buying either a set of the Turbo 40 or the Turbo 50 wheelsets, and plan to swap tires on them to alternate the wheels from an all-road bike to a gravel bike. I'm an average rider who enjoys amateur racing. Would you recommend one wheelset size vs the other? I imagine the 50 may be more aerodynamic, but the 40 slightly more stable in cross-winds? Thanks for your help!

Hi M, Is there a lot of crosswind in your riding environment? If so , we recommend Turbo-40 road disc wheels. Medium depth is less affected by crosswinds and is lighter in weight. If not, the Turbo-50 will be better, to get more Aero. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, I was recommended by one of your customers who happens to have the same bike as mine, an OPEN WI.DE with SRAM Force eTap AXS drivetrain, Eagle XX1 AXS rear derailleur, and a 10-50T cassette. I currently ride on a pair of Enve AG25 and I would like to add another set of wheels for 70/30 road use. I most likely will mount tires from 32mm to 40mm max, like the Specialized Pathfinder Pro or similar. Could you please tell me the cost of a WG44 wheelset with DTSWISS A)180 hub B)240 hub? Thank you.
