A New Hub Choice: Hope Pro 5
The all-new performance upgrade of Hope tech
Hope, renowned for its cycling innovations, has just released the highly anticipated Pro 5 hub, offering a substantial performance upgrade over the already impressive Pro 4. If you're a cycling enthusiast, you deserve the best, and the Pro 5 is here to deliver just that. Get ready to elevate your ride to a whole new level!
What’s New? A Quick Overview
01 - Less drag. Cycling aficionados know the importance of a smooth and efficient ride. The Pro 5 uses the zero-drag labyrinth seal and an improved ratchet and pawl system with new wider springs. The drag of the drive mechanism is greatly reduced while increasing durability.
02 - Faster engagement. The new-generation hub upgrades the points of engagement from 44 to 108, thanks to an innovative offset 6-pawl freehub design. Three pawls engage at any time, promising a faster, more responsive feel and optimized ride quality.
03 - Enhanced axle and bearings. The shell sports a new profile for more stiffness without adding weight. The axle is tapered to allow for a larger diameter hubshell and inner freehub bearings. Additionally, the distance between these bearings was increased to improve stiffness and durability.
04 - Expanded options. Hope has gone the extra mile with the Pro 5, offering a centerlock disc fitting option for the first time. There is also an e-bike-specific version that utilizes 6-pawls, but they aren’t offset, so all 6 pawls engage simultaneously. This allows the hub to handle higher torque loads while still offering significantly more points of engagement (54) compared to the previous generation.
