The First Impression

When I first mounted the Turbo 78 Disc front wheel onto my TT bike, I knew I had something special. The sleek carbon construction caught the light as I spun it, and I could already sense the aerodynamic promise it held. Pairing it with the Precision Entry C22 Disc rear wheel created a setup that looked like it meant business, and as I would soon discover, it absolutely did.

During the Extreme Triathlon, the Turbo 78 & Precision Entry C22 Disc setup proved its worth.

My first real test came during the Extreme Triathlon. The conditions that day were unforgiving—strong winds that caught most riders off guard, creating the kind of crosswinds that can make or break a race. I'd heard the warnings, seen other competitors struggling to maintain their lines, and felt the nervous energy that comes with unpredictable weather. But as I settled into my aero position and felt the bike respond beneath me, something remarkable happened. The Turbo 78 Disc proved its worth immediately. Despite the gusts that seemed to want to push me around, the front wheel held its line with impressive stability. The geometry and design work together seamlessly, providing confidence when conditions demand it most.

What struck me most wasn't just the stability, but how natural it felt. I wasn't fighting the bike or second-guessing my positioning. The wheel seemed to absorb the wind's aggression rather than amplify it, allowing me to maintain my aerodynamic setup without constantly making micro-corrections. That's when I realized this wasn't just marketing—this was engineering that translates to real-world performance.

The Precision Entry C22 Disc rear wheel complemented this perfectly. Working in tandem with the Turbo 78 Disc, it created a cohesive system that felt balanced and predictable. On a windy day when predictability is worth its weight in gold, that partnership made a tangible difference in my race experience and, ultimately, my results.

As I look ahead to my upcoming Ironman, I'm genuinely excited about having the Turbo 78 & Precision Entry C22 Disc in my arsenal.

Since that Extreme Triathlon, I've had time to reflect on what these wheels represent. They're not just components; they're the product of thoughtful engineering designed for the demands of endurance racing. Every curve, every material choice, every structural decision serves a purpose. As someone who appreciates precision and reliability, I find that deeply satisfying.

Now, as I look ahead to my upcoming Ironman, I'm not just confident—I'm genuinely excited about having the Turbo 78 Disc and the Precision Entry C22 Disc in my arsenal. I know that on race day, whatever conditions emerge, these wheels will perform. Whether it's another windy battle or calm conditions that allow me to chase pure speed, I'll have equipment that responds to the moment.

The beauty of finding gear that works is that it frees your mind to focus on what matters: executing your race plan and pushing your limits. With these wheels, I can trust my equipment and concentrate on the athlete's job—bringing my best effort to the start line.

I'm genuinely looking forward to future rides with this setup, knowing that every kilometer will be a joint product of preparation, purpose, and proven performance.
