T

Tom 2020/11/18

Hi, Can you do the AR56, 28mm wide rim brake wheel set? It doesn’t appear as an option on the site? Assuming, you can, would this wheel, coupled with a 25mm tyre fit on a bike with a max tyre width of 28mm (caad12). What about with a 28mm tyre? Thanks

LightBicycle 2020/12/10

Hi Tom, Yes, we can make the AR56 wheelset 700C disc for you. I noticed that you were on the page of the AR46 wheelset. My apologies if there's any confusion caused by our site. The tire range for AR56 (30mm wide) is 23-50c. Which tire do you like to use? Thanks, Lightbicycle

LightBicycle 2020/09/04

Hi Mark, My apologies, the old version DT SWISS 240 hubs are run out. Will DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs work for you? If the price is too high, how about DT350 for your wheels road disc 28mm wide? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Ira 2020/05/26

Hello, I see most of your wheels have QR/100 and QR/130 Front/Rear axles. Do you offer a configuration for HH12-100 and HH12-142 Front/Rear axles as well? I am trying to get a quote to build the following: Rim Model: AR56 Size: 700c Type: Clincher (Tubeless Ready) Front Axle Compatibility - HH12-100 Rear Axle Compatibility - HH12-142 Spokes - Straight pull (Aero spoke) Spoke Count 24 - Front / Back Hub - Please offer a couple options (Shimano body) Decals - Red if available, if not then black

LightBicycle 2020/05/27

Hi Ira, We separated the disc and non-disc (rim brake) wheels to 2 catalog list. The wheelset you are looking at is the rim brake wheelset page. So you can only see the QR spacing option. We do have the disc wheels at the link below. You can compare the options as you wish. https://www.lightbicycle.com/700C-Gravel-Optimized-Aero-Shape-56mm-depth-hand-built-carbon-road-disc-wheels---30mm-wide-and-tubeless-compatible.html Thanks, Lightbicycle

David 2020/02/29

Hi, I was selecting spec for the 700C-FALCON-wheelsetWheelset AR46-28mm wide-46mm deep couldn't find the option to get the wheels built (there was a reference to it but no option). Where in the order process do you select the option to get the wheels built? Thanks David

LightBicycle 2020/03/02

Hi David, What configurations are you looking for this road wheelset 700C? We only put out the most popular options online, which you can see the options listed after clicking the "Global Options" button. The options are logically linked because not all options are available for all component brands. You can let us know your options, then we can quote accordingly. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Lucas 2019/09/23

Hi, I suppose these rims are the best to use with 28mm tires right? Do you know how much it would cost to ship to Canada?

LightBicycle 2019/09/24

Hi Lucas, We did some tire installation test on the most popular tires on the market currently. Here' re the tires we mount on the AR46 (28mm wide, 46mm deep) road disc bike rim and the result for your ref, let me know your thoughts on this. --Vittoria Rubino Pro Endurance 700x28c, used 60psi, used 1 tire lever. --Continental GP5000 700x28c, used 60psi, Used a lever, possible by hand --Continental Gatorskin 700x28c, used 60psi, Relatively easy to install. Lever used --Continental Grandsport 700x28c, used 60psi, Relatively easy to install. No lever used --Schwalbe Pro One 700x28c used 60psi, Relatively easy to install. Lever used --Michelin Power Endurance 700x28c, used 60psi, used 1 tire lever. On the other hand, our WR series (Falcon Pro series) rims WR38 (32mm wide, 38mm deep), WR50 (32mm wide, 50mm deep) are easy to install above tires. So you should probably go with the WR rims if you are planning on using mentioned 700c*28 tires. Please let us know which you prefer. Then we can quote accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Martin 2019/07/15

Hi, I am looking for a second set of wheels for my rim brake carbon frame bike to use for weekend training rides 40-80km, and organised rides 90-150km. Please can you let me know if the WR46C02 would be suitable? I weigh 65kg, and live in an area of Sydney that can be windy at times. I will probably be using 25mm tires. Pleaser can you also let me know if shipping costs include Australia GST or will I have to pay custom fees? Thanks Martin

LightBicycle 2019/07/17

Hi Martin, Thanks for inquiry on our website. 46mm deep road wheels could receive negative cross-wind affect significantly if windy days are times and times in your living area. So we recommend the similar but lower 36mm wheelset WR36C02 for you. Due to the free trade agreement between Australia and China on act since Jan 1st, 2019, you do not need to pay customs fees. We did not hear about such charges occur since then. Hope it helps. Please let me know if you need more assistance. Thanks, Lightbicycle

What spoke count would you recommend for 220 lbs riding weight (rider + bike total)?

LightBicycle 2019/07/12

Hi Sir, For 220 lbs rider, it is not heavy weight. It is okay to have front 24H/rear 24H or front 24H/rear 28H. Do you like 28mm wide 46mm deep disc wheelset or non disc? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Terrie 2018/11/09

I read that these would be available as a superlite rim in November are they available?

LightBicycle 2018/11/10

Hi Terrie, There will be light and wider road disc rims at the end of this year. Are you looking for disc rims? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Rob 2019/01/01

Was wanting more info on this wider and lighter wheelcoming out this year that you talked about in this response?

LightBicycle 2019/01/02

Hi Rob, Yes, our new road disc rim is under development. Hope you can understand that develop a new rim requires plenty of work before launching. Mind if I ask you some questions in return? What would be the ideal rim profile for you? What good will the width and depth rim provide? What kind of riding you usually do with the disc road rim? Gravel only? Some XC mixed maybe? We would love to hear your opinion regarding this. Would you kindly share with us? We would be more than appreciated for that. Thanks, Lightbicycle

M

Marlon 2019/04/19

You are developing a lighter version of the current 28mm by 46mm deep rim? For disc brake? Or the current iteration Is the new model?

LightBicycle 2019/04/23

Hi Marlon, For customized lighter version, it will be only around 30g lighter than current road disc version. Is it okay? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Tjerk 2019/04/13

Hello, how much does the shipping to germany cost for a carbon clincher wheel set? And how much will the custom duties be? Do you take care of the customs clearance? Best regards Tjerk

LightBicycle 2019/04/13

Hi Tjek, Currently, we provide 2 kinds of shipping methods to Germany for one wheelset. TPD delivery: USD155, tax pre-paid duty, don't need to pay customs tax and VAT cost, 7~12 days roughly for delivery EMS delivery: USD78, need to pay Customs fee if necessary. We will also declare the low value to help you reduce the tax cost, 7~12 days roughly for delivery. Which do you prefer? For WR46C02 700C road wheelset, do you like disc or non disc? What hubs and spokes do you like? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Byeh 2018/12/04

Hi, I was wondering if you would recommend 24 or 28 spokes for me as I am a 64Kg rider. I would like to use the wheelset for mixed cyclocross and gravel riding as well as road riding. Also I would like run a variety of pressures from 40/45 psi for off road and 60+psi for road. Also can you build the wheelset with internal spoke nipples?

LightBicycle 2018/12/04

Hi Byeh, 1. It's alright for you to build 24H front and 28H on the back for this cyclocross wheelset. 2. Our recommendation tire pressure would be 40psi for hookless design. If you are planning on riding mix, sometimes with high pressure, I would say the hook version of RR460C2 (28mm wide, 46mm deep) would be the better option for you. 3. Yes, It is okay to build wheelset with internal nipples. The price is the same. For internal nipples, the spoke hole is smaller, the nipples are hidden inside the rim. Thanks, Lightbicycle
