Hello, Is it possible to do the AM431 in a lighter layup? I am looking for these for a kids bike that weighs 50kg and won't be doing big jumps. If so, what would that estimated weight be? Thank you!

LightBicycle 2025/08/13

Hi Corey, Yes, we can custom this 24inch rim at 300g weight version for you, does it work for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

What are the differences between the the AM431 and EN431?

LightBicycle 2021/03/19

Hi Austin, The EN431 is the reinforced version of AM431. If you consider yourself as an aggressive rider or heavy one, EN431 would be the better option for the rear 24" wheel. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello. What is the minimum pressure that can be used with hookless rims? I ride 35-40 pounds in my discipline with a lot of lateral pressure on the tire resulting in displacement. Will I have to constantly rip the tire off the rim without the hook?

LightBicycle 2021/03/06

Hi Aleksandr, For hookless rims, it is better to ride less than 40PSI to prevent from tires blowing off. The rims will be durable enough, we just worry the tires will blow off it is at higher tire pressure. What is your tire width? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi! I see that on the feature image it says AM431 400±15g. However just below in the table it says AM 430+/-15g, EN 480+/-15g Q1: why does weight for AM differ in the feature image and the table? Q2: what's the difference between AM and EN? Thanks,

LightBicycle 2020/09/14

Hi Sir, My apologies, it seems like an error on the "SPECS "section. The correct weight should be AM 400+/-15g, EN 450+/-15g. We already recover the correct data for this 24 inch bike rim. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Greetings! I realise in this day and age that carbon tubeless rims are the number 1 choice for mountain bikers. Standards and wheel sizing is constantly changing. That having been said, I am seeking advice for a possibly one-off request for a set of carbon tubeless-ready rims – below are the specs: • 24" diameter • disc brake (no rim braking needed) • 32 standard spoke holes • 65mm external width • anywhere from 55 – 60mm (or more) internal width (whatever is possible) • Presta valved tubeless-ready (obviously) I understand that this is an unusual sized rim request, but I am really really really tied to my Surly 1x1 11th Anniversary Edition "sort of fat" fully-rigid 4130 chromoly steel bike, which I have ridden over 10,000 miles on since I purchased brand new back in 2010. Well, it has IMMENSELY heavy steel rims which are easily almost two pounds each. They have never caused me any problems, but they are simply impossible to set up tubelessly, and there is a lot of rotating mass to deal with. I have two sets of wheels with very nice carbon rims I purchased from Nextie Bike a few years ago, with over 10,000 miles on both sets of wheels and never had ANY problems. Nextie used to offer the 24" x 2.5" carbon tubeless rims but it seems as though they do not offer them anymore. Please let me know if it would be possible to have a set (2 rims) made, and obviously am curious how much this might cost since it would most likely be a one-off request. I thank you for your time. I am eagerly looking forward to your response. Thanks Brett Kelley
