They have never missed a beat, absolutely faultless performance.
I have been riding on the Light Bicycle AM928 wheels for three years. I am very happy with these light and durable wheels so far! The front wheel weighs just 777g and the rear only 892g - lighter than my expectations. The front tire is a Maxis Ardent Race 2.35 16-18 psi and the rear, a Maxis High Roller II 2.2 18-20 psi, both fitted using soapy water to wet the rim and tire, and inflated with a floor-standing bike pump. Soon after the buildup, I began test rides.
Until now, the wheels have done around 15,000km.
The wheels have passed the riding tests excellently. 5,000 km is of riding XC on pea gravel, sandy loam and loose rocky descents such as the Cape 2
Cape, Dwellingup 100, WA XC series, SeVen, and Dirt at Motatapu. Another 10,000 km is done on fire roads and smooth trails, including the 1,000 km Munda
Biddi trail when I carried an extra 17kg of equipment.
It is very confidence-inspiring to ride on them.
They have been a good company for me on various occasions, from XC racing to 1,000 km bike packing journeys and everything in between. To be honest,
I am very pleased and surprised that they are still going strong! I am super happy with the quality - there’s really nothing to complain about. I just ordered a
set of
XC925 for lightweight XC race-specific duties. If you are an XC lover like me, these light, durable, and stiff wheels and rims are definitely worth a try.
