I have only been racing for a few years but I have started going to larger races.
I am an avid Cyclocross, MTB, Gravel, and Road racer. I have only been racing for a few years but I have started going to larger races across the US.
I was directed to Light Bicycle by a friend of mine on my team, which led me to purchase my AR46’s tubeless wheelset in 2021 for cyclocross and gravel racing purposes. I built these carbon rims with DT Swiss 240 hubs and black aluminum aero spokes, and wrapped them in Challenge Almanzo tubeless-ready tires.
I use the wheels on all surfaces and have raced on them many times. Most recently, I raced the US Cyclocross Nationals with them on an extremely bumpy and rough course, and was able to run air pressure at 22psi. They performed awesomely and soaked up the rough terrain very well. I plan on using them for gravel racing this year and using Challenge Gravel Grinder 36s. They might even become my road wheels after this season, or I will purchase yet another set of Light Bicycle wheels for the road.
Light Bicycle is a great company to work with.
The buying process was super simple and the customer service is on point. They reply quickly with detailed information. I wanted to make a small change to my order even after the production started and for a small fee they were able to get that sorted out, without delaying the production process. If you are a returning customer, they even help you out with a little discount.
I have been so impressed with the quality of products and the customer service that Light Bicycle has become my first thought when suggesting wheelsets for people. I even purchased two sets of tubular wheels for this year of racing. I had these wheels built the same way I built the AR46’s. I have two sets of the R45T wheels being built right now and I am extremely excited to get them and start racing. All in all, I have been extremely happy with the products and company customer service of Light Bicycle.
