Antonio 2023/02/15

Hi, Are those Falcon rims U or V shaped? Also, DTSwiss 350 hubs are centerlock? Thanks, Antonio

LightBicycle 2023/02/15

Hi Antonio, The AR56-30mm road disc rim was designed with V-shape. You can see it from the section view. We only have DT SWISS road hubs in the center lock, straight pull. Is this what you looking for? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello. I am wondering if this rim or the AR55 (or any other recommendation for that matter) would be the most appropriate for a 700x32c Conti GP 5000 clincher tire? I have a frame that will allow up to 32mm clearance with a bit of room to spare, but I am concerned the 'actual width' of the tire when fitted. I can see the comparisons in the FAQ section for 25 and 28, but not the 32 - are you able to let me know? Also, would this be closest to the most aero? I am curious about what the best combination for 700x32c would be while retaining 32mm 'actual width' for size consistency... Let me know what you think if possible. Thank you!

LightBicycle 2022/01/11

Hi David, Do you after the aerodynamic performance or comfortless? 28c or 25c would be recommended for aero setup. And for road riding. But if the reason why you choose 32c is that you are planning on riding gravel. It would certainly provide more comfort. Both 30mm or 28mm 700C road disc rims would fit ok. Thanks, Lightbicycle

These rims are really well suited for wider road tires, I'm using mine with 28 mm Conti GP5s usually and I have a friend who rides on 30 mm GP5s because his frame allows it, he's a heavy guy about 120kg and 30mm is plenty enough for comfort. We're running these wheels the AR56 for 2-3 years I think now with no issues to fault them. I put my rear derraileur through my spokes once becaus I didn't took the time to set it up properly and I ripped three spokes, wheel wasn't really rideable after but took it to lbs and changed the spokes and it's going strong for almost 1000 km now. What I would advise is pick the Sapim(or whatever you can source) spokes if you can budget it just in case you have an accident like mine because Pillar ones are harder to get in Europe, I ended up replacing all my rear spoke with Sapims an now I have a lot of spares in case I rip the front wheel in the future :). a

Is there a chance you can do these rims in feather weight option also? A rim like this onw under 400 grams would be cool!

LightBicycle 2020/08/18

Hi Relu, May i know your weight please? Do you ride aggressively? Then we can check how much weight of AR56 road disc 700c rims is better for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi all, I'm interested in a pair of light bicycle wheels. However, I'd want something with a 21mm inner width and 28mm outer width, and a depth of more than 50mm. Do you have something like that? Or are you planning to make that? 23mm inner width is just a bit too much for my road bike.

LightBicycle 2020/07/14

Hi Jochem, Yes, we do have something deeper than AR56 with the same width(28mm wide/56mm deep) road disc. But the model is not available online at the moment. Please check your email. We just sent you the rim profile. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello everyone, the DT Swiss 240s EXP (rear) also exists with 28 spokes but there is only the 24 spoke option. The 350 has both 24 and 28 spoke options. Do you also have the 28 spoke DT Swiss 240s EXP rear hub available? (24 is perfectly fine for the front) Cheers, Kai

LightBicycle 2020/06/18

Hi Kai, 28H EXP hubs for road disc wheels will arrive around one month later. Is it okay for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Witek 2020/02/05

Hi LB You should do this more classic width (best for 25-28mm tire) in the PRO version. Not every frame can take 32mm rim Will it hapen?

LightBicycle 2020/02/06

Hi Witek, Appreciated for the suggestion, yes, we aware that only some frames can fit with 32mm wide rim on the market now. The Pro series was designed for gravel use only. More and more gravel bikes are with the wider frame now. As for the tire fitting, according to our test, 32mm wide WR series rims are very easy to install 25c/28c tires from the most brands on the market. They are WR35/wr45/wr38/wr50 road disc wheels. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi. I am after a carbon disc wheelset for a road bike and predominantly used for endurance rides. So I am after a set that is between 45 and 60 mm in depth running 28 to 30c tires. I am 80kgs. Can you please advise which wheelset would provide the most comfort for this setup? Thanks Mark

LightBicycle 2019/12/26

Hi Mark, Thanks for your reaching out! We have below road disc wheels for 28C to 30C tires. 28mm wide 46mm deep, 28mm outer width/21mm inner width 30mm wide 56mm deep, 30mm outer width/23mm inner width 32mm wide 45mm deep, 32mm outer width/25mm inner width Which are you interested in? Jesse 2019/11/05

Hi Light Bicycle, For orders to California, do I need to use the North America ordering options, or can I also order using Global options? Thanks, Jesse

LightBicycle 2019/11/06

Hi Jesse, 1. You can order road disc wheelset 700C from both warehouses as long as the options and prices are ok with you. 2. We only stock the most popular options in the North America warehouse, so if you are looking for something more customized, you can check out the Global options. 3. You might notice that the hubs options are quite different, you can purchase Novatec, Bitex, Hope, DT, Tune from Global warehouse, and the Industry Nine, Onyx hubs are mainly offered by the North American warehouse. 4. The shipping and delivery are also different for two warehouses, North America uses UPS/USPS, while Global uses EMS. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Marcin 2019/10/06

Hi, I found some different information on your website. Can you verify this? In description here you wrote that on this rim we can install tires 28C to 50C but in label above there is information that for this wheel we can use 23C to 50C. So, what is correct? Best regards Marcin

LightBicycle 2019/10/07

Hi Marcin, Thanks for your correction! 23C~50C is the correct one for this 30mm wide road disc wheelset.I will have our guys correcting it these days. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Lightbicycle

John 2019/09/25

Can these wheels come with hidden nipples and no rim bed holes.

LightBicycle 2019/10/01

Hi John, Yes, it is okay to manufacture the AR56 road disc wheels with internal nipples. The nipples will be hidden inside. And it is okay to make wheels without spoke access holes on rim bed. We can work on invoice for you if you are ready to order. Or you can place the order through our website and leave a message on the order. Then we can see it and will double check with you to make sure everything is correct. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Juno 2019/09/21

Hi, I wanted to order an AR56 wheelset using the Global Options. I have 2 questions: 1) Could I get the front wheel with Sapim CX-Ray spokes and the rear wheel with Sapim Race spokes? 2) I want to get the wheels with Stealth (Grey) decals under the clearcoat. Could I buy an additional set of stickers in Orange that I could affix and remove later?

LightBicycle 2019/09/23

Hi Juno, Please find our reply as below. 1. Yes, it is okay to build this road gravel wheels disc with front sapim cx-ray spokes, but rear with sapim race spokes. 2. It is okay to manufacture grey decal under clearcoat. But we do not have orange road wheels stickers here. I am sorry about that. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Ian 2019/09/15

Hi, Do you do the logos in black? If so, would I just select "no logo" when purchasing and put that request in the notes? Thanks. Ian

LightBicycle 2019/09/16

Hi Ian, Yes, we can make the logo in black on these 30mm wide gravel road disc wheelset. You can just leave your requirement when you check out or allow me to create the order for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle
