Hi, Is this new rim strong like rm650bc13 38mm?? Im 90kg and love to ride rocks, roots and steep terrain, and do not want to use cushcore. Is this suitable? Thanks in advance

LightBicycle 2018/11/16

Hi Zack, The 650B rim you are looking at is our newly launched paintless (scratch proof) rim AM730, which is a stronger rim than RM650BC13. Are you familar with our new technology? I sent file through email to you. Please check. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I am looking to setup a wheelset to share between a gravel bike and a mountain bike. I am concerned about whether the rims can handle the higher pressures. Your gravel tires list pressures up to 130psi for hook type. Do I have to worry about higher pressure damaging your All Mountain or XC tires?

LightBicycle 2020/04/17

Hi Craig, The AM730 (30mm internal/36mm outer width) 27.5er bike rim is with hookless design, which we recommend running tire pressure under 60psi. The tires might come off if you running with high pressure. Normally, you don't need to run high pressure for Mountain riding. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I'd like to add your RM650BC05 or AM730 asymmetric rims to a pair of industry nine 24-spoke trail wheels. I'm not sure if you are familiar with industry nine but they do not use traditional spoke nipples. They use a one piece aluminum spoke that drops in through the rim and threads directly into the hub flange. They claim they require a ERD of at least 556. Please advise.

LightBicycle 2019/01/23

Hi Michael, We got your message! Are you Industry Nine straight pull hubs? If yes, we are not familar with it, I9 straight pull hubs are only used for their own wheels. We only build wheels with I9 J-bend hubs here. You can check our ERD measure on below link. It is Rim Outer diameter-2*rim depth+2* spoke hole wall thickness. https://www.lightbicycle.com/support/technology Thanks, Lightbicycle

LightBicycle 2018/11/27

Hi Kevin, We sent AM730 650B rim profile to your email address. If you need to caculate the spoke length, we can help you and let us know below information. 1. your lacing pattern 2. hub dimension as attached picture. 3. What spokes and nipples will you use? 4. internal nipple hole or external nipples? Thanks, Lightbicycle
