Hi I'm 80Kg - which of these lighter options on sale will be best for easy trail riding ?

LightBicycle 2023/07/03

Hi Eran, May i know the tire width that you use? Do you ride aggressively? Then we can check which 29er rim is better for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Andrzej 2022/08/16

Hi. Currently I have two XC925 rims (flyweight front / standard rear). I would like to assemble a second set of wider wheels for light 2.4" tires. I use the bike for XC / marathon (fullsuspension 120mm). My weight is 67 kg. Will two AM930S flyweight rims be a good idea? Or maybe it is possible to make a rim on the front, e.g. 330g and 360g on the rear?

LightBicycle 2022/08/16

Hi Andrzej, Yes, the AM930S recommends 2.2"-2.7" tires. And the AM930S flyweight version weighs 350g+/-15 only. The front flyweight rear standard version is available if you want a more durable XC 29er wheelset. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Eugene 2021/10/23

Hi! Are there any plans to release the s-flow profile in a 27.5 rim? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2021/10/25

Hi Eugene, I am sorry that we don't have a plan to make the AM930S in 27.5" at the moment. Because of the special design shape, every different spec would require a new mold and design process. So it might take some time. But I will inform you if we do have a plan to make a 650b version. Do you consider other models right now? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Nathan 2022/06/14

LightBicycle 2022/06/14

Hi Nathan, We don''t have the plan to make a 650b mtb rim bike version AM930S at the moment. I will inform you when we do. Thanks, Lightbicycle

John 2022/05/09

Hi do you recommend 2 cross or 3 cross lacing for the 28hole?

LightBicycle 2022/05/10

Hi John, For the straight-pull head, only 3-cross lacing is available for 29er wheels mtb. If the head is J-bend and you want to get a more stiff wheel, then 3-cross lacing is a better option. Thanks, Lightbicycle

James 2022/04/02

Hi how dos the AMS930S Fly weight compare to the RM29C07?

LightBicycle 2022/04/02

Hi James, For starters, AM930S 29er bike rim and RM29C07 are from different lineups. AM930S was designed to gain extra vertical compliance and be able to keep the weight down by 10%. The use of T700 carbon fiber and nanotubes in key areas to further the vibration damping properties. Thanks, Lightbicycle

hariz 2022/01/18

I'm interested in the new S flow wheels. Would you tell me the difference between the new AM930S flow rim and the regular AM930. I now they both use the Recon Pro rim. What do you give up as far as strength goes with the new S flow rim. I have a Ibis Ripley v4, its a 120/130mm trail bike. I am 165lbs with gear. Looking for a light weight trail wheelset. I have a alloy wheelset that I will use for rougher trail riding/enduro . Thank you

LightBicycle 2022/01/18

Hi hariz, Here're some key differences between 29er bike rims AM930S and AM930 that might help you. 1. The riding experience. If you are riding a hardtail, you will feel a big difference during riding. AM930S provides more comfort due to the special design of the rim profile. But AM930 is better in vertical stiffness if that's what you are after. Or for a suspension bike. 2. Weight The "凸" structure makes the rim strong and is able to reduce 40g/rim compare to AM930. 3. Asymmetric design. Wheelset with AM930S can reach a better balance of spoke tension between the drive and non-drive side of the wheel thanks to the 3.3mm offset. AM930 is also an asymmetric rim, but it's only 2.0mm offset. Thanks, Lightbicycle
