Hey Lightbicycle, I would like to know what all the superboost hub options are. Because on the I9 site there is a superboost option but i cant find that on the site here. Kind regards, Cédric Van den Eynde

LightBicycle 2022/02/28

Hi, Thanks for reaching out! We can get super boost hub for you if that's what you want. MayI I know which color of Industry Nine hub you want? We only have some in stock. Do you like hubs only or do you like AM927 29er wheelset with front super boost hub? What about rear hub? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hey pals, Are you going to offer 6-hole Bitex as well? Could you built a wheelset, with AM927 wich are on the lighter side? Or am Am927 front and Xc925 in the back? Cheers Felix

LightBicycle 2021/06/12

Hi Felix, We can get bitex boost 32H 6-bolt hubs for your 29er wheelset. And for AM927, we can make 30g lighter version as front for you. And the standard version for the rear. Does it work for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, Can I get the Hexa-Comb finish on the Recon-Pro rims and do you have the new, upgraded DT Swiss 350 - Boost - Straight Pull Hubs? Kind Regards Kevin

LightBicycle 2021/04/20

Hi Kevin, The Hexa-Comb weave is not available for MTB rims at the moment, the short sidewall of the MTS rims, the Hexa-comb pattern might not turn out as the road rims 700C. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Is it possible to get this built out of a US Warehouse for fast return times: Chris King centerlock hubs with AM927 rims

LightBicycle 2021/04/05

Hi Alan, Currently, we do not have Chris King boost center lock hubs in NA warehouse stock. We have just one parit of matte slate boost hubs in global site now. At the end of April, our NA team will have some boost hubs arrive.Does it work for you? Then we can build 29er wheelset AM927 rims with king boost hubs for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mark 2020/05/25

Hey there..Interested in lightweight, but strong boost MTB wheelset. Looking for 1450g or less and prefer a name brand hub. I will be running narrower tires so narrow rim is fine. Can you give me a quote? Thanks Mark

LightBicycle 2020/05/25

Hi Mark, We can do a super lightweight wheelset 29er for you if you can tell me the wheel configurations that you are looking for. Our best seller over the years is DT 350 combo. But we do many other options for you if you like. DT 240 (both new and old), Carbon Ti, Extralite, Chris King, etc. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mike 2019/09/20

Hello, Will 2.6 tires work with the AM927 or should I move to the wider rim. I'm trying to save weight and the wider ones are much heavier. Thank you for your time.

LightBicycle 2019/09/25

Hi Mike, The 2.6'' tires are suitable for the AM927 29er all mountain rim. We just sent you some quotation with different hubs to your email. Please check. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Do you make rims with the bead hook? Hookless rims seem really sketchy.

LightBicycle 2019/08/19

Hi Rick, Currently, almost all big brands using hookless design for mtb rims. Hookless provides better impact strength and it is okay for lower tire pressure like less than 60PSI. And we have sold hookless mtb rims for 8 years. The tires will not blow off if the tire pressure is less than 60PSI. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Saviour 2019/06/12

hi, I just bought a Scott Spark 960, and upgraded the cassette, crank and shifter to SRAM NX Eagle (12 speed). Now my next upgrade are the wheels. Which do you suggest for my bike as it is a 29er ? These are are my specs at the moment-Rims Syncros X-23 / 32H /tubless ready Front hub: Formula CL71 /15*100mm Rear hub : Formula CT1702 / 141*5mm tyres Maxxis Forekaster 29*2.35 / 60 tpi. my type of competitions are cross country and a bit rough terrain.

LightBicycle 2019/06/13

Hi Saviour, 1. I noticed that your the rear hub you currently have is with 5/141mm thru axle. Normally, the standard MTB rear hub is 12/142mm. Not sure if the standard size hub will fit your frame. Pls check with this to make sure the hub will fit. If not, I would suggest you purchase our rims and spokes, nipples using the same hubs. 2. Our AM927 29er bike rim would fit your 2.35" tires just fine. The mtb 29er rim is from our Recon Pro series which is very strong and stiff, which would be great for your riding conditions. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Chris 2019/05/03

Hi Light Bicycle, I am looking at a new set of mtb 29er wheels and wondering if Brass nipples make a difference on carbon rims as opposed to the aluminum ones apart from weight. I look forward to your response. Many Thanks. Chris

LightBicycle 2019/05/06

Hi Chris, Normally, brass nipples are more durable and stronger than alloy nipples but the color option is limited in black and silver. On the other hand, alloy nipples are very light (around 1/3 of brass nipples), so they usually would use on road wheels. If you are riding aggressive or on hard terrain and don't mind the extra weight, we would recommend brass nipples. We usually build our wheelsets with Sapim Polyax nipples to match Sapim spokes. The Polyax nipples are as strong and durable as brass nipples according to SAPIM. You can learn more about the nipples from SAPIM's official website. What hubs do you like for 29er wheels? We can quote accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

David 2019/04/05

Can you build an SP 15x110 dynamo hub into the wheel build?

LightBicycle 2019/04/06

Hi David, Do you mean SP 15*110mm hub for RS-1 fork? Or 15*110mm shutter precision hub? We have both hubs here. What rear hub do you like? Which mtb 29er rims do you like? Then i can quote accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, I'm moving to Beijing next year. Will I be able to buy your wheels in a Beijing bike shop?

LightBicycle 2018/11/19

Hi Geoffrey, We don't sale our products at Chinese bike shop currently. But you can purchase the 29er rims/wheels on our website and ship to Beijing. The domenstic shipping cost would be much lower than shipping worldwide. Thanks, Lightbicycle
