Hi there, I live in the US and would like a bikepacking wheelset from your XC725 rims. Would it be possible for you to build them with a White Industries rear hub and a SON dynamo front hub? Thanks, Connor

LightBicycle 2023/11/01

Hi Connor, Yes, we can get the hubs (White Industries + Son front hub) you want for you. The lead time for purchasing the hubs would be around 2 months. Let me know if you are ok with it. If you have rather a tight schedule for travel or racing, please let me know in advance. I would recommend the XC725 mountain bike standard version for you since you are doing bikepacing. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I have a set of Stealth hubs. Cost factor of providing hubs for set to be built?

LightBicycle 2021/07/26

Hi Rafe, Which wheelset do you like? It is okay to build wheelset with your hubs. Please let me know the mtb wheelset 27.5er spec, then we can quote accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Any experience using these rims with 47-48mm road tubeless tires like the Rene Herse Switchback Hills or WTB Horizons?

LightBicycle 2019/09/28

Hi Paul, Our recommended tire width for XC925 (30mm wide, 23mm deep) is 2.1~2.4 inch. So 47~48mm (about 1.9 inches) would be too narrow. You probably would have trouble with the tire mounting. Wider tires have better tracking and performance. Why not go for wide 650B bike tires? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Nigel 2019/05/27

Hi, I have a 2015 Giant trance 2 27.5 with stock wheels. I currently run 2.4” tyres and would like a really lightweight wheelset. I mostly do cross country and single track. I don’t do much downhill but once in a while we try some easy downhill stuff. I weight 78kgs and currently have shimano 1x11 XT system. I don’t mind any brand of hubs but I prefer them to be silent. What do you recommend? Thanks, Nigel

LightBicycle 2019/05/28

Hi Nigel, 1. DT hubs are the quiet and good quality hub that we offer at the moment compare to other brands. We have DT Swiss 240S/350/Chris King hubs If you like. 2. The XC725 27.5 XC wheelset would be a good fit for you since you are riding XC and not a heavy rider. If you somehow riding aggressively, you can choose the standard version of XC725 for both the front and rear. Here are a recommendation specs for your ref, let me know if you want anything different. You can add the wheel to your cart by https://www.lightbicycle.com/site/share-cart?id=450 Thanks, Lightbicycle

LightBicycle 2019/04/03

Hi David, We have 650B XC725 and RM650BC09 light XC 650b wheelsets here. We can build with DT Swiss 240S or 350 hubs with shimano XTR free hub drive for you. May i know your weight please?
