carbon 700C 25mm wide road rim clincher 35mm deep U shape tubeless compatible high TG resin surface

Kevin 2019/11/13

I have Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 wheelset but my real wheel needs new rims since heat deformation. I am looking 45mm rim which one do you recommend? I want to use the same campgnolo hub.

LightBicycle 2019/11/14

Hi Kevin, It is okay to order RRU45C02(25mm wide/45mm deep rim) for your rear road bike wheel. Is it your rear wheel Campagnolo Bora Ultra 50 G3 drilling? If yes, we have to manufacture the rim to match your G3 rear hub. Is it 24H spoke count for rear wheel? And For our rim on your rear hub, you will have to change the spokes. I think your current spoke length can not be used on our 700C 25mm wide road rim. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi Do you do these with internal nipple compability? If so how much would a 24/20 hole set be to the UK? Thanks

LightBicycle 2019/08/28

Hi Zach, Yes, we can make these 700C road bike rims compatible with internal nipples, and it's free of extra charges. Attaching with some internal nipple wheels for your ref. The nipples will be hidden inside the wheels. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello Can you recommend this rim (no Disc) for riding in the Alps with 10 Percent roads and more?My wheight is 70kg, does your Graphene work?

LightBicycle 2018/11/02

Hi Tom, Yes, we do recommend our new graphene grooved brake track. 1) Compared to old brake tracks, the new brake surface's braking friction has improved 15%. 2) The temperature of old brake tracks can reach around 240 Celsius. But our engineers told me that we will use new high TG resin on your current road rims also, so it can reach around 280 Celsius for your current and future orders also. For new brake tracks, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. 3) Heat dissipated with the new surface has been improved by 8%. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Thanks, and the grooved brake track (Texture) is standard on this Rim or only for more money?

LightBicycle 2018/11/05

Hi Tom, For graphene grooved brake track on RRU35C02 road bike rim, the price is USD199 each. It is USD30 higher than disc verion. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mihai 2018/09/17

Hi there, is it any time soon that you will build a u shaped rim with a depth of 35 to 50 mm, but much wider, around 24, 25 mm inner width? I recently rode a pair of Enve SES 4.5 AR DISC, owned by a crazy enough friend of mine, and they basically convinced me to have a pair of wider wheels. Cornering it's simply amazing, rolling just as. I'm interested in these two; RRU35C02 and RRU45C02, willing to build two pairs of this at your work shop, with dt swiss and pilar maybe, but they have to be that wide. So any chance for that to happen?

LightBicycle 2018/09/17

Hi Mihai. Since you are after a wider and deeper rim profile. Our new RR56C02 (23mm inner/30mm outer width, 56mm depth) might be the closest rim for you. We can build it with DT SWISS hubs, yes. Or you can check out the wheelset configurations at https://www.lightbicycle.com/700C-V-shape-46mm-depth-hand-built-carbon-road-disc-wheels---28mm-wide-and-tubeless-compatible.html We will discuss more details with you by mail. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi Guys My local wheel builder recommended to you, have question, can you have spoke arrangement like campag rear 55mm 21spokes tubeless and 45 mm front 16 spokes straight Pull ,Dt hubs will it be strong enough Regards Peter

LightBicycle 2018/07/25

Hi Peter, For rear 21 spoke count RRU55C02 rim, is it 2:1 drilling? Do you like road rims only or complete wheelset? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Milan 2018/07/07

Hello, please, is 24 spoke enough for 90kg rider on rear wheel? Endurance and light gravel riding. Thanks

LightBicycle 2018/07/09

Hi Milan, If you are no riding aggressively, you can go with 24H. The max rider weight for RRU35C02 road clincher 700C rim is 135KG. We use over 300kg weight to do the test in our lab. You can choose Sapim CX-Ray to reinforce the wheels when you building the wheel. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Phil 2018/01/02

Hi, I'm looking to buy a set of 35mm rims and have a question about the decals. What comes as standard? I like the subtle square 'LB' logo over the valve stem but I'm not a fan of the huge graphic around the rim. Do you have a representative photo of what would be supplied if i ticked the option box for the logo? Thanks

LightBicycle 2018/01/02

Hello Phil, Thanks for your inquiry. RRU35C02 (clincher): 435+/-15g, $163/pcs We have newest road decal also. If you like the small logo on the value hole, that is fine. Pictures attached for your reference. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Larry 2017/11/22

I am looking at purchasing some rims to build up some road wheels and was curious if you rims need nipple washers and what is the max spoke tension? thank you Larry

LightBicycle 2017/11/23

Hi Larry, Our spoke hole is strong enough, so you don't need to add nipple washers. Normally, we do not make the spoke tension higher than 135kgf while building wheels. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Brian 2017/08/08

Is it possible to have spoke hole drilling for triplet spoke lacing? I plan to build 24/24 hole triplet wheelset. Every third hole would need to be drilled angled toward the non-driveside rear, and non-disc side front. The key spoke holes on either side of the valve would need to be angle drilled toward the drive side rear and disc side front. This would be the same lacing pattern of all Industry Nine road/cx wheelsets, for example. Thanks!

LightBicycle 2017/08/09

Hi Brian, For the triplet spoke lacing, is it 2:1 drilling? Are all spoke holes evenly spaced on the rim? If yes, we have two drilling as attached. Which do you prefer? Is it the method B? Are both front and rear rims with the same drilling pattern? Thanks, Lightbicycle

dams 2017/07/06

Hi, What is the maximum pressure for a 25 mm tubeless ready tire ?

LightBicycle 2017/07/07

Hi Dams, Thanks for your inquiry! For road RRU35C02 rims, it can fit 25mm tubeless tires and the maximum pressure is 160psi. However, while riding, normally, riders will make the tire pressure around 100~130psi. Please check our quotation as below. RRU35C02 rims: clincher, 25mm wide/35mm deep, UD matte? Front 20H/rear 24H? With brake surface(or not for disc)? With decals or not? USD163 each Thanks, Lightbicycle

I previous purchased the 45U wheelset with dt swiss 240. If I purchase the 35U rims can I use the existing spokes and nipple from my 45u?

Light-Bicycle 2016/10/24

Hello Mike, Thanks for your continued support. Both U35mm and U45mm rims ERD are different, so they cannot be shared the same spokes length. You have to get some new spokes for U35mm. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Is there the stock of 16h? I want it immediately

Light-Bicycle 2016/08/11

Hello Morita, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, we don’t have any U35mm rims in stock. The lead time is around 12 business days for rims, and around 4-7 days to delivery. Does that work for you? Thanks, Light-bicycle

adrian 2016/07/07

Hi I was wondering if you could produce this rim with a hookless bead (like your mtb rims) for use as a cyclocross tubeless rim? Cheers Adrian

Light-Bicycle 2016/07/08

Hello Adrian, Thanks for your inquiry. The road rims 700C here are all with hook bead. This design is better for road riding and cyclocross at the same time. Most of customers choose our road rims(no brake track) for cyclocross and they work well. For tubeless, you could use a kind of yellow tape, sealant and tubeless tire. Then it works perfectly. Thanks, Light-bicycle
