As a long time fan of Light Bicycle wheels, I've purchased a few sets, however the ones on this 1980's Colnago Super (masquerading as a Master) are the lightest. With R35 rims, in gloss UD, laced to Carbon Ti hubs, via Sapim CX Ray spokes and alloy nipples, this wheelset came in just under 1,320g, without resorting to flyweight rims. I chose the R35s due to tight frame tyre clearances and because the shallow rim depth, visually suits the narrow steel frame tubes; whilst keeping the overall weight down to 7.9kg (without pedals or cages).
