Technically excellent all-round wheelset The Light Bicycle Airia 47mm wheelset built with DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs and Sapim steel spokes delivers excellent performance and ride quality. The 47 mm rim depth provides a strong aerodynamic benefit while remaining very stable in crosswinds, with predictable handling at speed. Lateral stiffness is well balanced with vertical compliance, resulting in a comfortable ride without sacrificing responsiveness. Tubeless setup was exceptionally easy. Using new Continental STR 30 mm tires, both tires seated by hand and inflated successfully with only a standard floor pump, no compressor required. Air retention has been excellent. The DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs roll smoothly with reliable engagement, and overall build quality is precise and well executed. This wheelset offers high-end technical performance at a very competitive price point.
