18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.

36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.

54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.

Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.
LB Thrust-4 Carbon - The Thrust-4 Carbon spokes are designed to boost high tensile strength. The 4mm all-road profile ensures great crosswind stability.
Berd PolyLight >> - It is constructed from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and are widely considered to be the lightest bicycle spoke option in the world.

Hook is for road riders who value aerodynamic gains and mostly ride on smoother roads. If you plan to run high pressure, then a hooked/clincher rim is a safe bet.

Hookless is for those who are running wider tires, lower pressures, or are riding on rougher roads. You will benefit from a more comfortable ride due to the higher volume and increased impact protection. Gravel riders and cyclocross riders are often in this situation.

Both hook and hookless rims are built using the same dimensions and materials.

Our Recon Pro and Falcon Pro rims feature BlackTek and come out of molds as a completed product, with a scratch resistant and near flawless finish, eliminating the need for coating or painting. We name this kind of superior finish the paintless.

Crystal Painting: A fantastic painting effect designed by Light Bicycle.

Full Custom: This option offers custom finish such as Satin/Raw etc at no extra charge but subject to rim models with 3~5 days LONGER on manufacture. And custom color painting is also available with added 15g/rim and extra $20USD/rim as a start. Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. Our all-new single wheel bag provides reliable storage for your wheel. Plus, an internal pocket is designed to store skewers and other tools. The wheel bag safely and comfortably accommodates most road and mountain bike wheels, including 700C, 26", 27.5", and 29" wheels. The wheel bag is with Light Bicycle logo by default. If you hope to get one without logo, please leave a note at checkout.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Overview

The Airia 47 disc is designed to offer you all-road cycling comfort. Through innovative layup design, advanced manufacturing techniques, and premium materials, the Airia series achieves exceptional lightweight performance without sacrificing strength. The product's inner width (25mm) suits the current mainstream 30C, 32C and even wider road tires, which offers perfect grip and premium steering control and comfort in cycling.

Paired with lightweight hubs and spokes, the wheelset reaches a perfect balance of lightweight and strength. The Airia series features refined spoke hole technique, allowing for greater flexibility in spoke alignment at the rim. It promises a more precise fit with most hubs on the market. The 24H version is for steel spokes and we also have the 20H version for carbon spoke build (available in May).

BH : The new Airia wheels are amazing! In my case I went for an Airia 47 front and 52 rear. A little wider to run with road tires, but mostly to be used with wider gravel tires, and there are SUPER fast in either setup! Weighing in right on target at about 1,190grams, they are still deep and aero and you can just feel them carrying all that speed while slicing through the air. Just as impressive is the ride, supple and more comfortable than you would expect from a deeper rim, and no where near as chattery or harsh as all the other deep section wheels I've used in the past. Here's a wheelset with all the features, aero and lightweight, just like the "special" wheelset used to win The Tour this year, at a fraction of the cost. I've built thousands of wheels, well over a hundred using Light Bicycle rims of all styles and generations. Light Bicycle rims have always been amazing, and the quality is easily as good as anyone else, while continuing to improve with each new style. It's been decades since I've used a wheel built by anyone other than myself, but I trust LB and their process and decided to let them have a go at this set for me. Airia 47/52 combination using Pace Hubs upgraded to ceramic bearings and 48t cassette and built with 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Sapim Secure-Lock nipples. Working with Light Bicycle to get just the build I wanted was extremely easy, with quick responses and willing changes to any small requests I made. The build itself was top-notch; built, shipped and arrived timely and with impeccable packaging! Thanks Light Bicycle!
