Light Bicycle has held a reputation as a manufacturer of some of the lightest wheels for years. The all-new Airia series is the brainchild of our engineers, designers, and product developers, with unrivaled lightness and unmatched durability. Designed to shine on the asphalt, the Airia lineup covers the popular depth range from 30mm to 70mm, with an ultralight construction specifically optimized for use with 28-30mm road tires.
The Airia 47 disc is designed for riders who want a fast, responsive, and stable wheel that excels across varied terrain and conditions. The rim's inner width (25mm) suits the current mainstream 30C, 32C, and even wider road tires, offering perfect grip, premium steering control, and comfort in cycling.
The Airia series is available in three layup styles: Standard, Flyweight, and Pro Rider. We have also expanded the collection with a 20H carbon spoke version paired with Light Bicycle Speed-Hub Gen3 and a 24H steel spoke version with hub options including Light Bicycle Pace-Hub, NonPlus, Extralite, DT 180, DT 240 EXP, Carbon-Ti, and Tune, laced to industry-leading spokes such as Alpina.
The rim/wheelset has passed our in-house R&D impact test of 80J (UCI standard 40J).
WARRANTY
For Non-Pro Series Rims: From the date of purchase, 3-year Standard Warranty.
For Pro Series Rims: From the date of purchase, 5-year Pro Warranty as standard and an upgraded optional lifetime Premium Warranty with minimum charge.
Crash Replacement: It is applicable with the same period as the warranty time range that you purchased for the rims with 10% /25% discount for Non-Pro series /Pro series.

Emmanuel : I'm super happy with the Airia. If you make a similar-ish version for gravel in ~40-45mm depth, I'll get a set

BH : The new Airia wheels are amazing! In my case I went for an Airia 47 front and 52 rear. A little wider to run with road tires, but mostly to be used with wider gravel tires, and there are SUPER fast in either setup! Weighing in right on target at about 1,190grams, they are still deep and aero and you can just feel them carrying all that speed while slicing through the air. Just as impressive is the ride, supple and more comfortable than you would expect from a deeper rim, and no where near as chattery or harsh as all the other deep section wheels I've used in the past. Here's a wheelset with all the features, aero and lightweight, just like the "special" wheelset used to win The Tour this year, at a fraction of the cost.
I've built thousands of wheels, well over a hundred using Light Bicycle rims of all styles and generations. Light Bicycle rims have always been amazing, and the quality is easily as good as anyone else, while continuing to improve with each new style. It's been decades since I've used a wheel built by anyone other than myself, but I trust LB and their process and decided to let them have a go at this set for me. Airia 47/52 combination using Pace Hubs upgraded to ceramic bearings and 48t cassette and built with 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Sapim Secure-Lock nipples. Working with Light Bicycle to get just the build I wanted was extremely easy, with quick responses and willing changes to any small requests I made. The build itself was top-notch; built, shipped and arrived timely and with impeccable packaging! Thanks Light Bicycle!
