It is with Hybrid construction of Toray T-800 and T-700 lightweight gravel layup for weight saving.
  • Manufacturing process
Our air bladders are made from a special material which produces smoother walls, result in a lighter rim, and are completely removed without harsh chemicals. They are removed through the valve hole with a unique process so that the rim does not have to be patched like traditional manufacturers use. This significantly improves the strength of the rims. • Wider
The wide profile offers improved aerodynamics, better handling in crosswinds condition and faster riding.
  • U-shape
The aerodynamic shape makes road tubeless rims lightweight but still stiff, keeping them stable in cross winds. The advantages of the U-shaped Road bike rim 700C
  • Precise layup
Each rim carries its own layup schedule documents which are followed meticulously by the layup workers. Our Engineering team creates a unique fiber orientation which amplifies the desired riding characteristics for a given rim.
  • Tubeless ready
beadlock design making this light weight road rims better tubeless setup and better sealing.
  • Angled Holes
Angled spoke holes allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. This results in fewer broken spokes and nipples.
  • Asymmetrical
The profile allows for equalized spoke tension which creates a stronger wheel that stays true.

Hello, I am looking for the lightest possible rim for my gravel bike. I will use 32~45 mm tyres. What are the reccomented max pressures for this rim? The RM29C06 Flyweight is much lighter could I use it instead? Will it be better?
LightBicycle : (2018-01-27)
Hi Joshua, Here are the differences between RG922 and RM29C06 flyweight version. 1. Recommended tire pressure: RG922 is 110psi, RM29C06 flyweight is 60psi. If you run over 60psi, we suggest you choose RG922. 2. Max rider weight: RG922 is 125kg, RM29C06 flyweight is 90kg. 3. Weight: RG922 is 380g+/-15g, RM29C06 flyweight is 280g+/-15g 4. Structure: RG922 is with the asymmetrical design, RM29C06 is with symmetrical design. Asymmetrical rim profile, it provides better spoke tension balance between drive-side and non-drive side. It will make wheels more durable. If you ride more than 40~60psi, it is better to go for RG922 rims. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I am 68kg, ride gravel roads and paved roads, lots of climbing. Weight is by far the most important. I am looking at the RG-922. What is the lightest way to have you make it as a wheel set? What will it weigh and what would it cost? Can you get the set to 1,368 grams or below that? Do you use DT240 hubs? Even 24 spokes would be fine. Thanks!
LightBicycle : (2017-12-28)
Hello Roger, Thanks for your inquiry. The 29mm wide 29er gravel wheelset built with DT 240S disc 24H hubs and Sapim cx-ray spokes is $1104/pair. The wheelset weight is around 1360+/-25g. Would you please confirm the hubs axle size for front and rear, then we will check the exact weight accordingly. Thanks, Lightbicycle

i am interested in these new rg922 rims for cross and some gravel. can i use 24h front and rear for 71kg rider and what do you recomment 2 or 3 cross lacing. thanks
LightBicycle : (2017-11-07)
Hi Tony, Thanks for your inquiry! It is okay to use 24H front and rear for 71KG rider. This rim is really wide and tough. For lacing pattern, 3 cross lacing will be slightly heavier than 2 cross, with longer spokes. But it is quite similar. Some customers prefer 2-cross lacing on 29" wheels as it provides slightly more lateral stiffness and is lighter because the spokes are shorter. 2-Cross lacing also works for 28 or 32h wheels. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Dear LB-Team, the RG922 seems to be a new model. On the weight specification there is a +-15g like on all other rims. Does it mean there are some tolerances in production or are the 15g reffered to the an optional brake track?! Have you planned a deeper version of the RG922 in the near future? ~ 40mm would be perfect. Thanks Ben
LightBicycle : (2017-10-30)
Hi Ben, For rim +/-15g weight range, it is not for brake track. Everything has a weight range, we can not make every rim at the same weight. It is hand made. The molding, sanding and painting will all cause some weight different. That is why there is a weight range. Currently, we only have gravel rim in 28mm deep. For 40mm deep, is there any better advantage? Thanks, Lightbicycle
