TECH

Built to handle the most technical trails on the mountain, the AM733’s 33mm internal width is a perfect fit for the new breed of ultra wide 2.4-2.8” tires. You’ll appreciate the confidence boost with the massive air volume, impressive traction, and bead seat bumps to keep those big tires in order.

Available in two layup styles, the standard layup is suitable for most riders, but if you are over 200 pounds or tend to ride your equipment really hard, consider the extra layer of 3k carbon in the EN version. Not only does this support G-Out forces, but it also makes the EN733 incredibly stiff and perfect for the hardest charging of riders.

E-bike Approved! This rim's Enduro Version is designed to be compatible with mid-drive e-bikes.

Rob: I ride light-bicycle-rims for about 4 years in 27,5“ and 29“. In this time there was no defect at any LB-rim. I think this is a very good result, because I ride park also as alpine hiking trails. Especially there are many stones and rocks that permanently bump against the rim.

I was very hesitant about getting the 733 model of rims for my bike and also scared about building carbon rims. But I must admit they were super easy to lace and true these rims so much easier the metal rims. The ride on the rims is a major game changer and I am really loving the feel and the quality of these rims.

hello, what ray lenght should I take for hope pro4 15X110 and 12X142 Jbend in 275 ?

LightBicycle 2020/01/14

Hi Sir, Could you confirm the hubs for me? Are the hubs Hope Pro 4 boost on the front and standard MTB on the back? And is it 28H or 32H? Then we can get the spoke length for these 27.5 inch wheelset. Thanks, Lightbicycle

James 2019/02/23

Can I get this with the glossy finish and custom decal? What is the additional cost? Also why is the offset 2.7mm compared to 2.0mm on your other rims? Thanks!

LightBicycle 2019/02/23

Hi James, Hi James, It is okay to make AM733/EN733 650B rims with glossy finish. Do you like UD glossy or 3K glossy? There is no additional cost. For custom decal, the cost will be around USD75~90 for 2 colors. May i know your graphic design sketch? Then we can quote accordingly for you. For 2.7mm on this rim, because it is wider rim than other rims. For wider rims, they can have bigger offset to get spokes more balanced between drive side and non drive side. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Igor 2019/02/02

Is this rim good for e mtb and also any special steps to calculate spokes length/build this rim ?

LightBicycle 2019/02/02

Hi Igor, Thanks for your inquiry! For AM733 rims(40mm outer/33.6mm inner) and AM740 rims(46mm outer/40mm inner), they are both good for E-mtb bike. May i know your tire width please? Then we can check which rim is better for you. Normally, we use heavy duty version for E-bikes. It is around 50g added on each rim. Is it your E-bike mid-motor or hub motor? What is your hubs brand and dimension as below? For spoke caculation, it needs hubs specs. Then we can get the spoke length for your reference. - Internal hole rim or external hole rim - Hub manufacturer name and model - Hole count - Front and rear axle width - Straight pull or J-bend? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Manfred 2018/08/19

Hi, I ride the RM650BC05 for about 3 years. It works very well. Because of wheight: It is possible to order especially a light rim (e.g. -15gramm) that is nearer at the weight of RM650BC05? Greetings Manfred

LightBicycle 2018/08/20

Hi Manfred, The AM733 650B rim is wider and deeper than RM650BC05. If we make it similar weight to RM650BC05, it will make the rim much weaker. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Ryan 2017/01/13

Is the en733 suitable for industry nine 2.9/2.7 butted spokes? Thank you.

LightBicycle 2017/01/14

Hello Ryan, Thanks for your inquiry. The strongest spokes that can be used on our rims are double butted 2/1.8/2mm. The industry nine 2.9/2.7 butted spokes are too stiff to use with carbon rims. It is not allowed to be used on our rims or there is no warranty. Can you change to double butted 2/1.8/2mm spokes? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, Will you make this in a 29er version? Thanks!

Light-Bicycle 2016/11/02

Hello Toby, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, only 38mm wide 29er rim is available. The strength is similar to 40mm width rim. May I know your riding terrain and weight? Do you ride aggressively? Then we will check if the 38mm rim is suitable for you also. Thanks, Light-bicycle

Toby 2016/11/02
