I use my bike for daily commuting and back packing. I've ran both tubeless and tubed and have been frustrated by both with the number of flats. Tubeless has been nice but certainly not great given the amount of extra work, how sealant will get into the wheels, rot the nipples, etc. I started looking for new wheels with the priority of having a solid rim bed and after a lot of searching, Light Bicycle was the easy choice. After getting into the details of ordering, the team helped me get some fantastic wheels. I went with the different sized back and front wheels since I've experienced some nasty side winds on busy highways, the wind mitigating design, the heavy duty design, 28 spoke, brass nipples (since I have broken some in the past due to the sealant and wanting extra strength), SWISS 350 hub, and added a laser design to the wheels. I've ridden them about 400 miles and it is night and day compared to the older ones. My average speed has improved even though my older ones were comparable weighted carbon. Areas that could be better is working through the website in trying to order, learning about the different options, etc. It can be pretty confusing finding and revisiting information. Plus, some options are no longer available so the site isn't fully kept up-to-date. I did work directly with customer service to get the right options since I've never went through custom making. This did add significant time due to slow responses at the beginning; also, be sure to double check the order to what you thought has been decided before signing off on it since I did have some differences (almost didn't get the solid rim beds). I would definitely order these wheels again!
