DT Swiss hubs use star ratchets and are available in 4 different models with varying points of engagement.
18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.
36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.
54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.

Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.
With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.
No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.
Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.
The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.
It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.
Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

1. Grey Laser Engraving (Falcon Pro) - Our laser engraving technology is eco-friendly and adds a snappy, polished aesthetic to your new rims.
Please note: Contrary to rims with any coated/painted finishes (matte, glossy and satin) as well as Crystal Painting, laser engraving could work with paintless rims only.
2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. If you select this option, LEAVE YOUR REQUEST IN QUOTES IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. For example: "I need my personalized logo printed" or "Just text 'ABC racing' ". We will reach out to you once the order is placed to finalize the details of custom graphics.

Valve Stem This is a required option.
We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Tomáš : After the first ride, I have to say that the wheels AR465 disc Flyweight Hook UD Paintless Disc 21H HUB-F Light Bicycle Speed-Hub V2.0 Black ceramic and Flyweight Carbon Spoke (Special Edition) ride great, they are really incredibly light and respond great to acceleration. The wheels are perfectly rigid and extremely stable when driving, even in strong crosswinds. I am excited about them. Last but not least, they look amazing. Judge for yourself.

SAR : Lovely wheels, extremely solid, durable and reliable. Went through various potholes and came out unscathed. Excellent DT Swiss 240 EXP Hubs, neither too loud nor too soft.
Decided on the marble weave and it came out beautiful - many people were complimenting them and asking where I got them from! Love the X-flow profile as well, very steady even in strong winds and looks very cool.

Michael : I got the 46.5 depth specifically out of concern for crosswinds as a lighter (under 70kg) rider. Where I live now is fairly distant from long climbs but there are surprisingly strong winds relative to the San Francisco Bay Area and Boulder, Colorado in the United States. The winds have no impact on how much I enjoy the ride other than going slower or faster even when I can tell my body has to be tilted slightly to offset a cross wind. I use 25mm in the front and 32MM in the rear, GP5000 S TR. I am curious to try the 55mm depth version of the wheels to see how they hold up in similar conditions (these weren't available when I purchased these wheels).
I have a 32MM Roval CL32 wheelset that I rarely use now so it's hard for me to really compare the 465 wheels in terms of road feel and other attributes, but I've had no reason to not love these wheels. I used to have 50mm v section wheels but it's been 5+ years since I rode those regularly. I do remember feeling very uneasy at times from crosswinds on those, even though I was on 23mm or 25 mm tires, and I never feel that way now. Then again, I'm riding in different terrain now versus those past wheels, so maybe it's not a true fair comparison, but again I've had no reason to not like these wheels.

I'm getting ready to order a pair of Falcon Pro AR465 discs. If I order from North America there is no choice regarding spoke holes. Does that mean the rims will come with spoke holes? Thanks

Hi Todd, Actually, when you finish choosing the hubs color, the spoke count is in the next option. We only have front 24H and rear 24H for AR465 disc wheelset 700C now. Thanks, Lightbicycle
