Hi there I noticed that you RM29T01 rim is not currently stocked. I was hoping to purchase one 24h and one 28h. Unfortunately I need these rims very soon. Could you let me know what the current lead time is to get these? Thank you!

LightBicycle 2018/09/19

Hi, Dan Thank you for your inquiry! The rim RM29T01(27mm wide, tubular MTB rim) is ordered to make. Normally, production would take around 12 business day for rims. Another 7~10 days for shipping if the customs clearance goes well. Since you are in the need of hurry, Sorry that we cannot promise you anything about the lead time. When exactly you want the rims? And, there are two national vacations upon us, which might affect the production and cause delay. Thanks Lightbicycle

Would this rim be suitable for a disc brake cyclocross bike? Or would you recommend your RRU35T02 rims? If so, why? Thanks

Light-Bicycle 2016/08/29

Hello Sully, Thanks for your inquiry. The RM29C06 is suitable for a cyclocross disc bike. If you prefer lower tire pressure and wider rims for cyclocross, then go with this rim. I am more concerned about the higher pressure when using road tires. I would go with the 25mm wide 35mm clincher rim (RRU35C02). Because the U shape road rim is able to ride higher pressure and the clincher rim is tubeless compatible. If you don’t ride tubeless and prefer light rim, then the RRU35T02 is suitable for you. Thanks, light-bicycle

Paul 2016/06/27

What is the difference in weave between 3k, 12k and UD? Is one stronger than the other or is it an aesthetic choice? Also, can all your rims be run tubeless?

Light-Bicycle 2016/06/29

Hello Paul, Thanks for your inquiry. 3k/12k/UD are the 3 choices for cosmetic appearance. Pictures attached for reference. The rim strength & weight is virtually identical. 3k matte & UD matte are more popular. Here is a link to help you choose which you prefer. https://www.lightbicycle.com/the-3k-12k-ud-carbon-fiber-weave-for-rim-and-frame.html Thanks, Light-bicyle

Hi, will this rim be strong enough with my 94kg without equipment in 32holes x3 ? or would it be better to go on XC923 ?

Light-Bicycle 2016/04/05

Tom 2014/07/16

Do you have any plans to offer a rim which is a carbon equivalent of the HED Belgium C2 ? (this would be for an all-rounder road/gravel bike with 700c wheels and disc brakes) So the ideal profile would be: - clincher - no brake track required (but OK to have one) - roughly 20-22 mm inner rim width between the hooks - low/medium rim height (20-30 mm?) - 28h and 32h drilling - supports 100 psi inflation pressure I had hoped to find a 29er rim that is close to these specs but have not been successful. Thank you for your help. Tom

Light-Bicycle 2014/07/17

Hello Tom, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, there is 27mm outer width & 22mm inner width 29er hookless rim. The Max tyre pressure is 70psi. Please find the attached cross-section drawing of the rim. Is it OK for you? https://www.lightbicycle.com/bead-hook-less-rims-carbon-29er-light-bike-rim-tubeless-compatible.html#.U8eXDfmSyWw For the rims(28H/32H), do you prefer UD, 3k or 12k? Matte or glossy? Thanks, Light-bicycle

scott 2014/07/11

Are these tubeless ready (i.e. air tight, but can run normal tyres with sealant or tubular (needs tubular tyre with stitched on inner tube, which are quite rare) Also how strong are these compared to the 27mm an 30mm 29er wheels? Thanks

Light-Bicycle 2014/07/14

Hello Scott, Please find the attached cross-section drawing of the 27mm wide tubular 29er rim, 27mm and 30mm wide 29er hookless rims. For the rims, do you prefer UD, 3k or 12k? Matte or glossy? 32H? http://www.flickr.com/photos/light-bicycle/sets/72157631432948364/detail/ The tubular rim is not OK for the tubeless. But the 27mm and 30mm wide 29er hookless rims are tubeless compatible. These 2 kinds of rims are stronger than the 27mm tubular rim. For tubeless, you could use a kind of yellow tape, sealant and tubeless tire. Then it works perfectly. Thanks, Light-bicycle
