  • Manufacturing process
Our air bladders are made from a special material which produces smoother walls, result in a lighter rim, and are completely removed without harsh chemicals. They are removed through the valve hole with a unique process so that the rim does not have to be patched like traditional manufacturers use. This significantly improves the strength of the rims. • Tubeless ready
beadlock design making this light weight road rims better tubeless setup and better sealing.
  • Aerodynamic profile
Improved aerodynamic design for a better crosswind protection.
  • Wider
Idea for wider tyres, disc brake equipped road bikes, road races, gravel races and cyclocross.
  • Angled Holes
Angled spoke holes allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. This results in fewer broken spokes and nipples.
  • Precise Layup
Each rim carries its own layup schedule documents which are followed meticulously by the layup workers. Our Engineering team creates a unique fiber orientation which amplifies the desired riding characteristics for a given rim. The disc rim features a separate layup that removes access material to create the lightest rim possible without compromising its strength.

Hi, will there be a lighter non disc version of these rims, maybe 420g? And will you do (laser) textured brake tracks as seen on Campagnolo or Bontrager wheels for better braking in the wet? Kind regards, Sebastian
LightBicycle : (2018-07-06)
Hi Sebastin, Lighter version certainly means sacrificed some strength and impact resistance of the rim. Are you sure you want to make a lighter version? If so, I will need to learn more about your riding. Can you kindly provide below info to me so that I can consult with our engineer to see if there's a possibility to make the non-disc version lighter? Yes, we can make texture brake surface on rims. 1. Your weight. 2. What kind of riding you do? 3. Are you an aggressive rider? Thanks, Lightbicycle
Seabstian : (2018-07-07)
I am 72kg and ride only on the road, with some racing. What is your rider weight limit for the 440g rims? And with - textured - you mean your usual carbon-basalt brake track (picture 1) or something roughened like Bontrager does with its "laser control" (picture 2)? 1: https://forum.tour-magazin.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=620725&d=1502533327 2: https://i1.wp.com/aerogeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/BT18_Aeolus_XXX_Wheels_52.jpg
Sebastian : (2018-07-08)
And do you also offer Carbon-Ti X-hubs SP road?
LightBicycle : (2018-07-09)
Dear Sebastian, Yes, Carbon Ti hubs are available. Do you want to build a complete wheelset from us using Carbon Ti hubs and RR36C02 flyweight rims (410g+/-15)? If yes, i can send you this road disc wheelset quotation to your email address. Thanks, Lightbicycle
LightBicycle : (2018-07-18)
Hi Seabastian, The recommended rider weight is under 90kg. As for the brake track. The RR36C02 is using our new high TG resin technology, which can bear the 240-degree heat. The default weave is 3K (same as your first picture shows). You can customize the brake track weave if you like, both standard or CNC carving pattern like the second picture shows. Note that we will charge extra for customized brake track. Let me know if you need a customized the brake track pattern. Better to provide the graphic for the pattern if possible. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, do you also plan a rim with 30mm outside and 21mm inside? The aerodynamic optimum is a rim that is 5 to 10 percent wider than the tire. A Continental 4000S II 25mm tire is 28.5mm wide on a rim with 21mm inside, so 30mm outside would be perfect. With 23mm inside, the tire will be even wider, so that would not match. Thanks!
LightBicycle : (2018-05-18)
Hi Robert, Most customers like to ride wider tires. So, our RR56C02 rim is 30mm wide and 56mm deep. If you like, we can send you the rim profile. Thanks, Lightbicycle
Robert : (2018-05-19)
Hello, maybe you could do the 30mm wide rim hookless with 23mm inside (for wider tires that will be no problem) and a hooked version with 21mm inside for people who want to run 25mm tires for best aerodynamics and crosswind stability. Thanks!
LightBicycle : (2018-05-31)
Hi Robert, The new 56mm rim is compatible with 25~50mm wide tires. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I'm interested to a pair of RR36C02 model rims. What are the delivery times for Italy? How much does delivery cost?
LightBicycle : (2018-05-16)
Hi Omar, There are two delivery options for you to choose from. Quote as below for two rims to Italy. Let me know which delivery method works the best for you. If it's EMS, you can place your order online because EMS is the default delivery method. If it's TPD, pls provide the rim spec so I can create the invoice for you. EMS (Tax not included): Cost USD50, take 5~10 days to deliver. TPD (Tax-Prepaid Delivery): Cost USD89.1, take 2~4 weeks to deliver. Rims manufacturing takes around 12 days. We do not have this rim in stock currently. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, as you will offer a new rim with 23mm inside and 30mm outside and 56mm height, will there also be a lower 36mm high version for rim brakes (new rim brakes open wide enough)? Kind regards!
LightBicycle : (2018-05-03)
Hi George, Do you mean you are interested in 30mm wide/36mm deep deep rims with brake surface. Right? For wider road rims, we will release in 2 months. Thanks, Lightbicycle
George : (2018-05-03)
Hi, yes, I am looking for a ~36mm deep road rim with 30mm external and 23mm internal width for rim brakes. Then I am looking forward to your new rims. Do you also plan to use textured or machined brake tracks in the future, like Zipp, Enve oder Campagnolo? Thanks, George
LightBicycle : (2018-05-04)
Hi George, Yes, our new wide road rims with textured brake track will be ready in 2 months for sale. If you are not urgent to order wheels, you can wait for our new products. Is that okay? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello Can I please have a price for 36mm front 12x100 and 46mm rear 12x 142 24 hole DT 240s centre lock 11 speed road Shimano? Can you pick out the lightest rims?
LightBicycle : (2018-02-23)
Hi Daniel, Regarding your comment for wheelset quotation I'll mark your weight request to our factory when you place the order, to keep RR36C02 under 410g and RR46C02 under 435g. But because our rims are all handmade, so it's hard to control the exact weight. Quotation The wheelset is USD1020/pair with following specs. --Rims: Front: RR36C02, 28mm wide, 36mm deep, clincher, UD, matte, 24H, hook, NO brake surface Rear: RR46C02, 28mm wide, 46mm deep, clincher, UD, matte, 24H, hook, NO brake surface --Hubs: black DT Swiss 240S, front 12*100mm / rear 12*142mm, Shimano road 11s, Straight pull, center lock --Spokes: black bladed Sapim cx-ray, straight pull --Nipples: black alloy Thanks, Lightbicycle

Andi : (2018-02-12)
Hello Im am interested in disc wheels with this rim. I weigh 93kg and would use the wheels for Road and sometimes gravel rides. How many holes would you recommend? Is it necessary to center your wheels after a couple hundred kilometers? Regards, Andi
LightBicycle : (2018-02-13)
Hi Andi, Building on the details you provided, I think 24H is strong enough. But if you are riding in an aggressive way, you should use 28H for precaution. Our wheels are centered and trued before shipping by our Quality Control department. My suggestion is to check the spoke tension and center situation once in a while to make sure it's well true and centered. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Keith : (2017-11-24)
For these rims, would a 42mm presta inner tube valve length be enough, or would a 60mm one be better
LightBicycle : (2017-11-24)
Hi Keith, Thanks for your inquiry! For RR36C02 rim, 55mm valve stem length is long enough. You do not have to go for 60mm. Thanks, Lightbicycle
