The new road wide bicycle rims with aero profile and 28mm width, offering greater stability with wider tyres. They are ideal for disc brake equipped road bikes, cyclocross bike wheels and gravel cycling. It is available for both rim brake version and road disc version, hook and hookless design.
  • Manufacturing process
Our air bladders are made from a special material which produces smoother walls, result in a lighter rim, and are completely removed without harsh chemicals. They are removed through the valve hole with a unique process so that the rim does not have to be patched like traditional manufacturers use. This significantly improves the strength of the rims. • Tubeless ready
beadlock design making this light weight road rims better tubeless setup and better sealing.
  • Aerodynamic profile
Improved aerodynamic design for a better crosswind protection.
  • Wider
Idea for wider tyres, disc brake equipped road bikes, road races, gravel races and cyclocross.
  • Angled Holes
Angled spoke holes allows the nipple to pull straight in line with the spoke for reduced stress. This results in fewer broken spokes and nipples.
  • Precise Layup
Each rim carries its own layup schedule documents which are followed meticulously by the layup workers. Our Engineering team creates a unique fiber orientation which amplifies the desired riding characteristics for a given rim. The disc rim features a separate layup that removes access material to create the lightest rim possible without compromising its strength.
  • T700
Constructed with premium Toray T700 carbon fiber. The best strength to weight ratio with no expense spared.

Hello Im am interested in disc wheels with this rim. I weigh 93kg and would use the wheels for Road and sometimes gravel rides. How many holes would you recommend? Is it necessary to center your wheels after a couple hundred kilometers? Regards, Andi
LightBicycle : (2018-02-13)
Hi Andi, Building on the details you provided, I think 24H is strong enough. But if you are riding in an aggressive way, you should use 28H for precaution. Our wheels are centered and trued before shipping by our Quality Control department. My suggestion is to check the spoke tension and center situation once in a while to make sure it's well true and centered. Thanks, Lightbicycle

For these rims, would a 42mm presta inner tube valve length be enough, or would a 60mm one be better
LightBicycle : (2017-11-24)
Hi Keith, Thanks for your inquiry! For RR36C02 rim, 55mm valve stem length is long enough. You do not have to go for 60mm. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, any update on getting the Hope hubs in stock? Thanks!
LightBicycle : (2017-08-19)
Hi Matt, We checked with Hope agent, they do not have front 9*100mm thru axle/rear 10*135mm thru axle size in stock. What they have is front 100mm*QR/rear 135mm*QR in stock. Does QR version work for you? Lightbicycle

What hubs are u using to build these wheels? Also, do u use black spokes and black nipples? Thx

What free hub are u using for wheels? I'm looking at 700c wheels for disc and 11speed. Thx
LightBicycle : (2017-08-07)
Hi Adam, Thanks for your inquiry! Normally, for road disc wheelset, we have sram XX1 for free hub driver or shimano road 11S. Which do you prefer? What hubs and spokes do you like for your RR36C02 disc wheelset? DT 240S hubs? front 24H/rear 24H? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Can you please recheck your HOOKLESS max tire pressure numbers? Most manufacturers will state a max number associated with a specific tire size. For example, it can be 40 PSI max on 32mm tire, 100 PSI max on 28mm tire, and 115 on 25mm tire, etc. I am interested in running tubeless on your hookless rim but the tire needs to be somewhere between 65-70 PSI for good road performance.
LightBicycle : (2017-08-03)
Hi Peter, Thanks for your massage! We did a lot of test for this hookless version before. The result of the test shows it is okay to run the tire pressure less than 80psi while riding. None of customers has blow-out issue before. However, not long before, one of customers gave us feedback that his tire blew out when tire pressure got up to 40psi. And then we recommend that it should be less than 40psi for the hookless version on our website. For you are run tire pressure around 65~70psi, we recommend that it is better for you to choose the hook version. It is up to 160psi. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, RE: RR36C02 Can you make a flyweight hybrid T800 & T700 hooked version of this rim. Something similar to your flyweight RM29C06 but hooked and capable a higher psi rating. Thanks, Kevin
LightBicycle : (2017-07-24)
Hi Kevin, Thanks for your massage! We are so appreciate that you propose this requirement. We will collect more information about this and notify you first once we launch this new product. Currently, it will need to remanufacture the rim molds if we like to make RR36C02 with flyweight version. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi...are there any plans of designing/producing asymmetric rims for CX/Gravel/road (tubeless/disc). Thanks.
LightBicycle : (2017-06-20)
Hello Ken, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, all of our road products are with symmetric design and quite popular. If you prefer asymmetric rim for cyclocross and run at lower tire pressure (under 40psi), you can try our 28mm wide 29er asymmetric rim tubeless compatible. Please find attached rim profile for reference. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, have you thought about producing a 650b version of these wide road/CX rims? There is a market for adventure bikes (like the 3T exploro that I have) and women's road bikes that are starting to run smaller wheels with larger tires for greater grip/comfort.
LightBicycle : (2017-06-05)
Hello Adrian, Thanks for your inquiry. Currently, only 700C road rims are available. For 3T explore bike, it works with 700C wheels also. If you prefer 650B road rims, may I know what the rim width/depth you prefer? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, Is there a new version of the 36mm and 46mm deep rim with hook bead of 24mm diameter ? Regards Jason
LightBicycle : (2017-06-05)
Hello Jason, Thanks for your inquiry. Our new 36mm/46mm depth hook rims are with 28mm external/21mm internal width. For rim with 24mm diameter, is that external or internal width? Also, do you like the rims used for normal road bike or cyclocross? Then we will check and do some recommendations accordingly. Thanks, Lightbicycle
