Dave 2016/07/31

Hi, Looking for a strong set of carbon wheels for my bike. I run 28mm tyres and am 87-90kg. I also ride on rough roads. What do you recommend. Do you do higher spoke counts than 20/24?

Light-Bicycle 2016/08/01

Hello Dave, Thanks for your inquiry. According to your info, we’d like to recommend the 25mm wide U45mm wheels. It is much wider and stronger, and it will work with 28mm tyres well. Also, the rim is with special material and New high TG resin, it will provide better braking surface performance than basalt braking surface. Normally, 20H/ 24H is strong enough. If you prefer higher spoke counts, then go with 24H/28H. We have 24H/28H Powerway R13 hubs in stock. Thanks, Light-Bicycle

Alex 2016/07/04

I bought your wheels 2 years ago, can you please tell me what the recommended tension specifications are for the front and rear wheels?

Light-Bicycle 2016/07/05

Hello Alex, Thanks for your inquiry. The maximum spoke tension of our rim is 180kgf. Generally, 3 of charging tension are involved in wheel building. A. Tension for "transportation riders" (Comfortability) 80-90kgf are ideal for regular transportation riders or exercise on a regular basis. B. Tension for "enthusiast riders" (Balance) 100-110kgf are good for people with enjoyful and training purpose. C. Tension for "professional riders" (Performance) 120-130kgf are charged for riders who are expertized in riding or competition. The recommendation of spoke tension is less than 130kgf. Thanks, Light-bicycle
