A combination of 650b with 48mm tires at the rear and 700c with 38mm tire at the front is just right for gravel: good traction and comfort, slacker geometry. AR36 (RG722) rear and AR28 (RG922) front with 28 J-bent spokes, light (1440g/pair) should be plenty strong and durable. Good mid clearance at the back mud.

Have you tried this before? Curious how does it ride and feel on the bike than a normal set of 650b or 700c.

Hi Gabe, What type of riding do you plan to do? Normally, mixed-size wheels are used on gravel bikes. Most bikes are designed to be compatible with both sizes. Do you like 650B or 700C size? Thanks, Lightbicycle
