18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.

36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.

54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.

Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.

Hook is for road riders who value aerodynamic gains and mostly ride on smoother roads. If you plan to run high pressure, then a hooked/clincher rim is a safe bet.

Hookless is for those who are running wider tires, lower pressures, or are riding on rougher roads. You will benefit from a more comfortable ride due to the higher volume and increased impact protection. Gravel riders and cyclocross riders are often in this situation.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Our all-new single wheel bag provides reliable storage for your wheel. Plus, an internal pocket is designed to store skewers and other tools. The wheel bag safely and comfortably accommodates most road and mountain bike wheels, including 700C, 26", 27.5", and 29" wheels. The wheel bag is with Light Bicycle logo by default. Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Hi Mike, The original wheel is Fulcrum Racing 418 Disc, the rim width is 22mm, it's very narrow compare to the AR36 (21mm internal, 28mm outer width). However, I noticed that the tire range is from 23-50mm according to Fulcrum's website. So I think the AR36 will be fine. What configurations that you want to build with? Just a testimonial. I took delivery of the AR36 disc a few months back, with DTSwiss 180 hubs, Sapim spokes, and tubeless tape and valves. While I was not able, or courageous enough, to get a pair of GP5000 TL to fit, I was able to put on a set of Schwalbe One tubeless tires on the AR36. I was able to seat the tires easily with just a track pump, so no problems there at all. Oh, now for the good part :) These wheels have totally transformed my bike! It is an Allez Sprint Disc, and I am still surprised at how good these wheels feel on this bike. It has become super responsive, super smooth, and surprisingly quiet. On my old aluminum wheels, they gave a hypnotic sound, but not so much with the AR36. They are very quiet when rolling. Well, the freewheel of the DT 180s is quite loud, but silent when pedaling. But the responsiveness of the wheels is so surprising. Turn in is instant, sprinting out of the saddle is instant, and just rolling along is comfortable. They do catch wind, however. Because of the instant response with these wheels, it makes you correct your line through corners. I've found I need to be extra vigilant going downhill. Thank you so much for making these! If I ever upgrade to a new bike, these wheels will be coming with me! Cheers, Brann
