Both hook and hookless rims are built using the same dimensions and materials. The max tire pressure for hooked version of the rim is 160psi. The hookless version of the rims features more impact strength and a max tire pressure of 80psi.

The hookless version is designed with low pressure impact resistance in mind. If you are planning to run a tire pressure above 80psi, the hooked version would be a better choice.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We include enough valves to cover your individual rim purchase. We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valve with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The vavle core is removeable so you can add sealant withoutn removing your tire.

Tubeless Tape This is a required option.

One 10 yard roll of tape will be included. It is typically covers 2 rims with two laps each or 4 rims with one lap each.The high tensile tubeless tape features a natural rubber adhesive that does not leave a residue on the rims. On mountain bike rims, one layer of 18mm width tape is strong enough to seal the access holes which makes for the lightest tubeless setup.

The most versatile option in our road lineup, the 36mm can handle cyclocross, road racing, and all-day gravel rides. The mid-depth rim profile has a reassuring stiffness, building confidence through ruts and railing corners. It remains compliant for long distance and weighs at just 410g per rim.


This wide tubeless ready platform has a 21mm internal width, suitable for a wide range of tire choices.

High TG: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads.


Graphene Brake Track : Graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in the wet, and brings more resistance when conditions are dry so less force at the lever is required.


AeroTek: Our latest aerodynamic profile decreases lateral wind resistance and is both more stable and faster in a crosswind. A wider profile allows for larger and more efficient tires to be used without an aerodynamic penalty. Traditionally a tire can form a lightbulb shape when mounted on a narrow rim, but the airflow is much smoother with our wider rims.


DuoTek: Our clincher rims are manufactured in two pieces and then joined together. When designing the rims, our engineers, in every detail, demanded fewer joints. Fewer joints mean higher strength and stability.


TuffTek: A high-grade customized epoxy resin is used in our prepreg, creating a stable base for all of our road rims. Epoxy is less brittle than polyester resins and offers excellent flexural strength. Our consistent resin system, coupled with a precise layup schedule, allows for an extremely reliable and durable product.


Tubeless : All of our rims are tubeless compatible with bead seat retention. In most cases a floor pump is all that is needed to seal our rims. The bead shape is tailored to each rim width to achieve the best fit. Our hookless and clincher profiles have a smooth radius to reduce the chance of a pinch flat.


T700: Constructed with premium Toray T700 carbon fiber. The best strength to weight ratio with no expense spared.

For Pro Series Rims: From the date of purchase, 5-year Pro Warranty as standard and an upgraded optional lifetime Premium Warranty with minimum charge.

Hi Morten, According to the Cannondale official website, the AI system requires put the drivetrain 6mm to the right. Which means the wheelset must be adjusted accordingly. Otherwise, the whole set won't be balanced. We've built a lot of offset wheelset for the Cannondale AI system for our customers for now. So we are well experienced in this. Are you looking for a wheelset for your AI frames? I understand that you are looking at the WR36C02 (28mm wide, 36mm depth). The wheelset was designed for gravel road riding. I would like to have some clarifications: 1. except the weight difference, is there any difference in terms of performance (rolling resistance) between the DT Swiss 240 and 350? 2. For a road "racing" bike is better a ratchet 18 or 36? Please clarify why... 3. what's the difference between Pillar and Sapim spokes?

Hi Rosario, Please check our reply as below. 1. DT Swiss 240S hubs are with higher end parts inside than 350 hubs. 2. The 36t or 54t provides a noticeable amount of extra engagement points which helps when ratcheting your freehub during slow speed technical situations. It will help the wheelset feel more responsive overall. The 18t is more reliable as the grooves are the deepest in the star ratchet, whereas the 54t has the shallowest grooves and the 36t is right in between those 2. If you put out a lot of torque and don't like messing with your equipment, stick with the 18t, but if you want more engagement the 36/54t offer a noticeable performance gain. 3. Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420: An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for XC and trail riding. Sapim CX-RAY: Our most durable bladed spoke. Its low weight, aerodynamics, and flexibility make it a popular choice for racing at all levels. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I would be grate if you can be more specific letting me know if the 350 hub is less efficient and has less performances than the 240 s. For example I mean putting same output power on the flat...is the speed of the 350 and 240 the same? Thanks

Hi Mark, Yes, you can buy just a rear wheel. But it's not available online. You can order it by mail though. Below is a quote for our one of our best-sellers CX wheels. About 50% of our customer choose the RR36C02 you are looking at for CX riding. You should know that there is two version of the rim, hook, and hookless. If you are riding under 40psi, you should go with the hookless version. If higher, choose the hooked version instead. What hub and spokes do you like for rear wheel?
