John : These are the first rims I purchased by LB, it's a customized 65 mm deep rim set. I've been riding them for a few thousand km now and they are totally worth it. Actually they were so convincing I wanted to add new wheels/rims to another bike again customized and I have been helped big time by Ms. Charlie Sū! Shout-out to the best consultation I've ever received. I have no doubt the new order will be as terrific as the first!

Olivier 2020/09/22

Hi, I would like to know if a rim like the FALCON rim R65 Road could be with disc brakes or would i need to go with a cx/gravel rim? Would i lose speed? Also, are these rims compatible with straight pull hubs and spokes (since i would like to install a PowerTap g3 disc). Thanks in advance

LightBicycle 2020/09/22

Hi Olivier, Thanks for your inquiry!May i know your tire width please? Then we can check whether R65 disc is okay or not.Yes, our rims are okay for straight pull hubs and spokes. We use straight pull hubs and spokes for wheelbuilding also. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Marc 2020/07/24

Hello LB, I am after a wheelset for my fixed gear bike, running 100mm front / 120mm rear axle length. The R65 would be a perfect rim but I see you do not offer a fixie/track build option in your menu. Is there a LB track hub as a build option? Thank you and regards, Marc.

LightBicycle 2020/07/24

Hi Marc, Have you checked out our hub list? Let me know which hub you prefer and I will send you the quote for R65 track wheelset 700C. https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/Light-Bicycle-Bike-Hub-List-of-2020.html Thanks, Lightbicycle

Luuk 2020/04/27

Hi, I was wondering how a 25 and 28 mm tyre would fit. do you have pictures of this sort of rim with both tyre sizes? Luuk

LightBicycle 2020/04/27

Hi Luuk, Yes, we do have some tires tested on 700C road bike wheels. Which tire do you have? You can check out the actual tire weight on this page https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/Claimed-Weight-vs-Actual-Weight-of-Bike-Tires.html. And the tire fitting on this page https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/Road-Bike-Tire-Width-Charts.html. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Stefan 2020/03/12

Hey, are the 700c 622mm or larger?

LightBicycle 2020/03/13

Hi Stefan, Yes, the 700c rims' BSD is 622mm (ISO standard). So you should match a 700c-622 tire to the rim 65mm deep 700C. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Alexander 2019/12/29

Hi there, I am inquiring about a wheel set build, I am really interested in the 65mm and 88mm combo for the triathlon bike that i have. I currently have the 45mm wheel set made by your company for the road bike and I love them. Please contact me if you can, thank you! -Alex

LightBicycle 2019/12/31

Hi Alex, Yes, we can build a mixed depth combo 700C wheels road rim brake for you. The single wheel option is not available online currently, so I will create an invoice for you for this order. What hubs do you want to build with? DT Swiss 240S or 350 hubs? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Lance 2019/09/16

Hi there. Can you do drilling for internal nipples on these? So a 2 or 2.5mm hole? Thanks, Lance

LightBicycle 2019/09/17

Hi Lance, Yes, we can make these wide gravel bike rims drilled for internal nipples (no extra charges added). For internal nipples, it is with smaller holes to make the nipples not visible. The diameter of the holes is 2.5mm. Which I can create the order for you (internal nipple option is currently not available online). Or you can leave a message on the order when you place the order through our website. We will double check with you to make sure everything is correct. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Meta 2019/07/16

Hi, Would you be able to deliver a pair of these within 2 weeks to Switzerland? (need it for racing)

LightBicycle 2019/07/17

Hi Meta, As nearly all of our orders are highly customized, we stock very few rims with us in the warehouse, and we need to make the 65mm road bike rims 700C with full hand-made which requires about 12 days plus 5 days for DHL shipping Two weeks are too tight for us. Turnaround 20 days is much more practical. Is it okay for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Can this rim shape be a tubular? Looking for 60-70mm deep for a track wheelset and this in a tubular version would fit the bill.

LightBicycle 2018/07/04

Hi Jon, Our U-shape series rims only have tubular depth have 65mm and 88mm. The 65mm deep tubular road bike rim will be the perfect fit for you. You can see the rim profile from the attachment. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Jason 2018/03/15

Hello, I'm interested in pairing a 55mm U front with this 65mm U rear, laced 20 radial front and 24 2:1 lacing rear. Will the angled nipple drilling support this? Is this suitable for my 75kg weight?

LightBicycle 2018/03/16

Hi Jason, We can build the wheelset you want. Your weight is totally ok with this build. The rim is usually with +/-5 or 6 degrees drilled. The 2:1 lacing won't affect the wheels. Below is the quotation for your ref. Quotation The wheelset is USD711/pair with below specs --Rims: Front: RRU55C02, 25mm wide, 55mm deep, UD, matte, 20H, radial lacing, with brake surface Rear: RRU65C02, 25mm wide, 65mm deep, UD, matte, 24H, 2:1 lacing, with brake surface --Hubs: black DT SWISS 350, front 100mm*QR/rear 130mm*QR, Shimano road 11s, J-bend --Spokes: Black Pillar Aero X-TRA 1420, J-bend --Nipples: black alloy Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mathew 2017/10/21

Hello. I want to build a wheelset for my disc road bike. Does disc brake version rim has rim brake track? What I want is a seamless, smooth and continuous rim surface.

LightBicycle 2017/10/23

Hi Mathew, Thanks for your inquiry! Sorry for the late reply. It was weekends last two days. For disc break, there will be no brake track. The rims are smooth and continous rim surface. There is no any step at the rim edge. Please find attached rim pictures for your reference. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Josh 2017/10/16

Hi, Are you able to do custom spoke drilling for these rims? I require it as a 21h Josh

LightBicycle 2017/10/16

Hi Josh, Thanks for your inquiry! We can manufacture RRU65C02 rims with 21H as you require, but we need to check your weight and see if 21H is strong enough for you. What about your tire width? Then we can check which rim is better for you. Do you want to space spokes in 2:1? For 21H(2:1), are they all evenly spaced? If yes, we have two choice for evenly spaced(as attached), and they are different in the valve hole position. Please tell us which spoking way you like. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Joel 2017/08/05

I have one sets of DuraAce WH-7900, 16/20 H hubs that i will use for my wheel build for your 65mm Clinchers, but im not shore what Aero spokes i need, what can you recommend for those ? Is the Sapim Cx_Ray maybe to weak ? DT Swish also have one model called "DT Aero Comp" that i think is little stronger but there is more spokes on the market, my weight is 87kg Best Regards Joel

LightBicycle 2017/08/07

Hi Joel, Thanks for your inquiry! Actually, sapim cx-ray bladed spokes are really durable. Most of our customers use it for mtb riding also. We haven't heard of sapim cx-ray bladed spokes broken. For your weight, it is okay to use sapim cx-ray bladed spokes on U65mm clincher wheelset. Sapim cx-ray bladed spokes are really durable and well-known. Thanks, Lightbicycle
