Jim : My second set of WR45s. Fantastic wheels. Light, fast, durable. I'm in the process of ordering a third pair.

Tomas : I have been researching a carbon wheelset for 2 years until I finally pulled a trigger on these WR45. Since my frame can take up to 35mm tires, 32mm external width is a great way to future-proof your bike. The bike feels way different compared to alloy wheels, it accelerates way faster, it holds its line when descending and honestly looks way cooler. It is though sensitive to wind but still very bearable. I would not recommend pairing it with 28mm tire. GP5000s were really hard to mount and I had to use tire levers. I have just switched to 32mm and it is way different story, no levers needed. Huge benefit is being able to customize these wheels with spokes and hubs, I opted for dt swiss 240exp and sapim cx rays for wide availability of spare parts. Customer service was flawless and wheels arrived approx. 4 weeks after placing the order.

Daniel : I recently added the WR45 Wheels to my Cannondale SuperX - fantastic set of wheels and great value. I weigh almost 100kg and take this bike most places including some great MTB trails in Singapore - overall I highly recommend it! I am about to order a second pair so I can set it up for road rides.

Miguel : The wheels are built like a tank. They're light and stiff, but can take a great deal of beating. I'm sure I'll have them for a long time. :)

Wayne : Put a set of WR45s on my gravel bike and couldn't be happier. Built up with DT 350's for durability and have put a couple thousand miles on them. I did BWR NC with this setup and it flies down the road and is still tough enough for the rough stuff.

William : WR45 rims, matte UD finish with gloss black decals and no access holes, DT350 hubs, Pillar spokes. A great set of wheels. I run 32mm GP5000's tubeless and they mount up and hold air easily with no tape. Judging from how fast I go downhill they seem to be a pretty good aero combo.

Cam 2023/08/13

Hi, I'm looking at the WR45 wheelset and considering normal rim vs flyweight. Would the flyweight option be suitable if used for bikepacking, with the extra overall weight of the system? Cheers Cam

LightBicycle 2023/08/14

Hi Cam, Thanks for reaching out! May I know the weight within bike-packing in total? I send you an email, please check it. Looking forward to your reply : ) Lightbicycle

Hi Light Bicycle, I was loooking at the Falcon Wheelset WR45 with DT Swiss 240 hubs. I was hoping to get 32 spoke count on the rear wheel and 28 for the front but this does not appear as a an option in the configuration. Could you please advise me if this configuration is available and please sent through a quote to my email address. Cheers Andrew

LightBicycle 2022/06/28

Hi Andrew, We could supply DT 240 EXP road disc font 24H rear 28H hubs for WR45 Gravel wheelset 700C . Is it okay for you? Thanks, Lightbicycle

I'm looking for a lightweight wheelset that could be used for gravel races which might also have a high percentage of tarmac, so a deeper wheel section is also preferred. My weight fluctuates between 70-73kg, and I would like to run a 45c tire. Would the WR45 disc set with a flyweight build be a good option for me, and if so, what would the recommended spoke count be?

LightBicycle 2022/06/06

Hi Thomas, Yes, WR45 road disc 700C would be a good option for you based on your description. The flyweight rim is recommended for riders under 90kg. So I think it should be no problem. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Do you have any of the Pilar spokes in rainbow color? If not, what color do you have?

LightBicycle 2020/11/13

Hi Sean, Yes, we do have colored spokes available, we will have to special purchase for you if you need it. Have you figured out the full wheelset configurations that you plan to have yet? If not, maybe I can help? But I will have to learn more about your needs and riding conditions. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Calum 2020/06/11

Hi, I’m checking out the 700c WR45 disc Wheelset options. With the flyweight rim and the carbon ti hub, is it possible to increase the spoke count to 28 or 32 spokes? Thanks

LightBicycle 2020/06/12

Hi Calum, Yes, we can get 28H or 32H spoke count Carbon-Ti hubs for you if you want. The reason why we only have 24H online is that most people after the super lightweight of Carbon Ti hubs, tend to get fewer spoke count to get the wheelset road disc lighter. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Considering the hooked vs hookless have the same internal width, which would recommend for a road bike? I don’t mind running tubeless tires, so that isn’t an issue. Would hookless rims and tubeless tires hold up in tight cornering crit races? I think the tire shapes out better on hookless rim, so I’m leaning that way.

LightBicycle 2020/02/11

Hi Jeff, If you are planning on running high pressure (more than 80psi, less than 130psi), you should go with the hook version to hold the tires on. If you will only run under 80psi, hookless would be ok for the condition. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Anton 2020/02/10

I'm interested in something with at least 45mm depth, 23-28 internal width, external isn't as important, whatever is strong. Also want 32 spoke holes per wheel, what do you have for me, please send an email. Thanks, Anton

LightBicycle 2020/02/10

Hi Anton, We have below road disc rims 700C close to your specs. Which do you prefer? WR45: width 25mm inner/32mm outer, 45mm deep WR50: width 25mm inner /32mm outer, 50mm deep. It is okay to order 32spoke count. Don't worry. Thanks, Lightbicycle
