Jeffrey : I bought two pairs of LightBicycle AR35 DT240 wheels and have used them for several years on my road bike and cyclocross bikes. They are very light and fast wheels, and I am very impressed with the quality and design. When I first received the wheels I measured the spoke tensions and found that they were very consistent, unlike a different off-brand carbon wheelset I previously purchased. I had some concerns with using carbon clinchers in cyclocross due to the low tire pressures and potential impact with roots/rocks, but the wheels have held up great for two full race seasons and show no signs of wobbling even with ocassional rim-strikes. I'll definitely be picking up at least one more set for my backup CX bike!

Gary : Hey folks, here's a picture of my recent trip up to Mt Mitchell, NC, highest point east of the Rocky Mtn's in the US. The climb is around 30 miles, 6800 feet of climbing from the nearest town. I'm sporting my AR35 Flyweight DT Swiss 180 hubs, with SRAM XDR hub, flawless performance, smoothness, fast and a mere 1240 grams. Recently completed a 450 mile trip in 5 days through the Southern part of the US as well, MS, AL and TN. Love my LB wheelset ..

Hi, I'm interested in those 28 mm wide / 35 mm deep Falcon Pro rims for disc brakes. I would like to build wheelsets using Novatec D411/D412 hubs, 24 Berd spokes (front and rear), internal aluminium nipples and 28 mm or 32 mm tyres. I have a few questions :) First, I weigh 70 kg, so I was thinking taking the Flyweight version. However, I was wondering whether the Flyweight version was strong enough to resist the harsh pavements we have here in Paris or to resist a hit in a pothole. Is it safer to go with the Standard version or is the Flyweight version strong enough ? Second, since I would like to use internal nipples, spokes' holes do not require to be as big as with external nipples. Is it then possible to have smaller holes ? Thanks Nicolas

LightBicycle 2021/02/22

Hi Nicolas, Do you like AR35 road disc rims 700C only? or complete 700C disc wheelset? It is okay to maufacture rims for internal nipples. The nipple holes will be 2.5mm size for itnernal nipple hole. For external nipple hole, it is 4.5mm size. Do you ride aggressively? Standard version is more durable than flyweight version if you do not mind the weight. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I'm interested in rims only. I want to build the wheelsets myself. For me it's part of the fun of building my bicycle :) It's good news that hole can be made smaller for internal nipples. I will be using my bike mostly for city commuting and travels. I don't race. But here in Paris we have quite a lot of bad roads with irregular pavements or potholes. So I was a bit afraid that the Flyweight version would be a fragile precious little thing you have to be very gentle with or if it could still be used without worrying too much as long as you respect the weight limit. Given my weight, I think I will take my chances with the Flyweight version :) (I will finalize the whole design of my bike first before ordering everything) Thanks Nicolas

LightBicycle 2021/02/23

Hi Nicolas, Thanks for your reply! Or you can try from flyweight/ rear standard version on the AR35 28mm wide road disc rims 700C. Thanks, Lightbicycle
