DT Swiss hubs use star ratchets and are available in 4 different models with varying points of engagement.

18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.

36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.

54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.

Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.

Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). Disc: The disc version does not have a rim brake track and features a unique disc specific layup process. Our new layup is about 10g ~30g lighter by reducing the unnecessary material and utilizing elements of our Flyweight construction method.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Please note: Contrary to rims with any coated/painted finishes (matte, glossy and satin) as well as Crystal Painting, laser engraving could work with paintless rims only.

2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. If you select this option, LEAVE YOUR REQUEST IN QUOTES IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. For example: "I need my personalized logo printed" or "Just text 'ABC racing' ". Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

For Pro Series Rims: From the date of purchase, 5-year Pro Warranty as standard and an upgraded optional lifetime Premium Warranty with minimum charge.

James : Just got my AR465 LB Wheels built and have done 100km on them and they are stiff/strong & roll smooth. They also are cosmetically easy on the eyes as per photos. One thing I have noticed with braking with LB Blue brake pads is that it could have more bite as braking does require abit more work. Paul : Falcon Pro AR465 Flyweight Edition. Loving it!

Raf : Made a special order for a wheel build of AR465 Non Disc rims together with DT SWISS 240 EXP quick release hubs. The rims have a Grooved Graphene Surface and don't have holes for easier tubeless setup. I finished off with Sapim CX Ray Black straight pull spokes and Oil slick decals. I also ordered the LB rim brakes. I had to re-adjust my brakes as this rim is wider compared to my previous wheels. Currently I'm running Continental GP5000 TL 28mm tyres on my Eddy Merckx EMX-5 bike. So far I have ridden about 650km with them and extremely happy with my purchase. I have yet to find out the stopping power in the rain. The rims very much suit the wider 28mm tyre and roll very fast. I'm very impressed with the hubs as well. The buying process was very smooth. It took some time for the rims to be manufactured, but it's very easy to track and one finished I was surprised how quickly they were shipped to South Africa.

Hi Bill, Our AR465 rims 700C are tested with a 300kg load in the lab. Normally, riders under 135kg would be ok to ride on wheels with the standard version AR465. And the limit is 90kg for flyweight version wheels. What's your system weight? If you are above our limit weight, we can custom make the rim so the wheel can be stronger for heavier riders and bikes. Please be more specific about your riding conditions and profile so we can determine how much extra weight you need. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, I am interested in the Falcon pro wheelset and after the build, the cost comes out to USD 1,000. I live in the US, can you let me know what the shipping cost is and whether there is a duty tax added? In addition, if there is an issue with the wheels, how does the return or replacement work? Do i need to pay for shipping of the old wheel etc... After the order is made, what is the general wait time for build/delivery? thanks.

Hi Paul, Thanks for reaching out! 1. The shipping cost is USD109.02 by MTS-Sea, Tax included. 2. You don't need to return the old rim back for replacement. We will send you a replacement after our assessment of the case. The only thing you need to do is send us the serial number and photos of the issue.
