Luke : I've been riding Light Bicycle RR46C02 (now called AR46) rims on my Eriksen custom road/gravel bike for over 4 years now and love them. They built up nicely and have never needed truing since I built them. On dirt, I've been riding the EN733 (now Recon EN733) rims on my Ibis Mojo 3 for 4 years and have had zero issues. Rock solid and great customer service, I love the stealth look and all the customization that Light Bicycle offers. I'm looking forward to my next set of rims when I go to hookless road and to 29er mountain!

David : My Salsa Warbird was bought as a frameset which I then custom built with parts selected for performance and comfort for big gravel and offroad rides. So Shimano Ultegra R8020 for shifting with the RX800 clutch mech. Hope RX4 brake calipers, Praxis 48-32 crankset with 4iiii power meter. I added comfort on rear with an Ergon Cf3 seatpost and up front fitting a Redshift Shockstem and Salsa Carbon handlebar. I wanted a nice fast tubeless wheelset with Carbon rims which had a wide internal width for wide gravel tyres and hookless! After searching online at the time Lightbicycle were one of only a very few that could deliver a wheelset with these requirements so I chose the mid depth 46mm laced with 28 CX-Ray spokes to a Hope RS4 straight pull hubs to match the Hope brake calipers! I currently have the amazing Rene Herse Snoqualamie Pass 44's on the wheelset. The wheels really compliment the frameset and help to get the best out of it when railing it offroad on gravel type road's and on road too! All in all a great wheelset and glad I chose Lightbicycle.

I would like to build a set of AR46 700C in tubeless configuration: 1. Are the rims drilled on both sides of rim? 2. What are the spoke hole dimensions? 3. I plan to use Industry Nine Torch series hubs, 28 hole for both, with Sapim CX-Ray J bend spokes, what spoke and nipple length do I need to purchase? 4. Do I need to use rim tape to seal for tubeless? Thank you.

Hi Marco, Thanks for your inquiry! Please check our reply as below. 1. Do you mean the spoke holes with angle drilling left/right? Yes, it is drilled with left or right angle, to make it better for wheel building. 2. For spoke hole dimension, it is 4.5mm for external nipple, and 2.5mm for internal nipples, and 8mm spoke access holes on rim bed. 3. Is it your Industry Nine Torch hubs disc or non disc? 28H for both front and rear? Then we can calculate the spoke length accordingly for you. 4. If you choose with spoke access holes on rim bed, then you will have to use rim tape to ride tubeless. If you choose "no spoke access holes on rim bed:, then you will not have to use rim tape. Ideally, I would like the u shaped with a 56 deep rear and 46 deep front. Both at least 28mm external width. Is this possible? I am a heavy rider (96kl) but ride about 6000 km a year.

Hi Joshua, Yes, we can make custom rims with internal nipples for you. The drilling hole diameter is 2.5mm. Then the nipples will be hidden inside the rim. Usually, we use 10mm long internal nipples. You can see the wheels built with internal nipples from the attachment. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I'm running 25mm tires, the RR56C02 is getting to wide. Even the RR46C02 is already on the wide side. A 19mm inner x 27 outer would be ideal. I don't like the profile of your U rims as much, not as aero nor as lightweight.
