Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). Disc: The disc version does not have a rim brake track and features a unique disc specific layup process. Our new layup is about 10g ~30g lighter by reducing the unnecessary material and utilizing elements of our Flyweight construction method.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Center Channel Hole & Nipple Hole This is a required option.

Center Channel Hole options:
1) With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.
2) No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" or referred as 'UST style'. Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Nipple Hole options:
1) External Nipple Hole is the commentional way drilled for external nipples and is the default standard for Light Bicycle rims.
2) Internal Nipple Hole is drilled for internal nipples('upside down/ hidden style'). This is optional for some Light Bicycle rims.

Decal This is a required option.

Road rims use super light waterslide decals (matte colors). The decal is very thin and applied under a clearcoat so they are non-removeable.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Hello, I am looking for carbon rims, and I have chosen the Falcon RIM R45 as my favourite. I need one with 20 and another one with 24 holes. On the pics they come with grey or red decals. When clicking "Buy" they are describes as non-printed. How are they delivered? What is the price for one rim? And I also have another question: I live in Europe - I read that tere is an option to buyx with the taxes prepaid. How can I manage it to put the order with taxes prepaid? Thank you for your respond. The rim is USD164 each with standard high TG brake surface, and USD184 for graphene brake surface. We have some rims 700C rim brake in stock if you have a rather narrow time window. Hi Asbjorn, 1. The R45 700C rim brake wheels would be a good fit for you, the max rider weight we recommend is under 130kg. But please make sure your frame spacing is ok with the 25mm width. Some road models are only compatible with narrow rims. 2. We don't use the washers for our wheels(our wheel spoke holes are durable enough), but you can use Sapim washers if you prefer to have washers while building if you do not mind weights adding. I would buy a pair of R45 clincher rim to mount them with dtswiss 240s straightpull hubs, the spoke hole angle (+-6) is ok for this hub? Is safe to fit 23mm tires on these rims? Regards Francesco

Hi Francesco, 1. The R45 700C rims are ok to build with the DT Swiss hubs. Note that we only provide the new DT 240 EXP hubs and 350 hubs at the moment. The drilling angle makes the spoke align better and spoke tension balanced. 3. 23c tires would be a bit narrow for the 25mm wide rim. But the mounting varies from tires. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I would appreciate your advice on primarily rim depth. I am after a set of rims for general road use. I am thinking of the Falcon RA46 or R45. I ride mainly on roads, at moderate speeds, with a variety of terrain including hills. My weight is 115kg, and I use rim brakes with 28 mm tyres. I dont race, and comfort is more important than speed but speed is still important. I am looking for a good stong general purpose set of rims.

Hi Steven, 1. Both our road bike rims AR46 (28mm wide, 46mm deep) and R45 (25mm wide, 45mm deep) are compatibile with 28mm tires. So you don't have to worry about the mouting. 2. Those two rims are with different shape as you might learn from the rim profile section (attach to you so you can compare. The R45 is with a more rounded shape, which leading edge allows for more attached airflow, which reduces drags and increases balancing side force. On the other hand, the AR46 is more of a V-shape like relatively. This provide better aerodynamics in no wind and lighter. You can choose the better fit rim base on how you goona ride and the location condition. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi, James Yes, you can have 28H rims from our North American warehouse if you like. Note that the reason why you cannot find the 28H at the North American warehouse is that we don't have stock for this rim. So the rim would be ordered to make from our factory and takes about 3~5 weeks. My suggestion is to order the rims you want directly from International (China )warehouse to save the time. Because we have last two 45C02 (25mm wide, 45mm deep with UD, matte, 28H, with brake surface ) in stock currently, which means you can get the rims in 7~10 days. We can discuss more details by mail. I'm interested in purchasing they U Shape 45mm rim (20h) and U Shape 55mm (24h) rim in 25 wide to build up with DT Swiss 240 hubs that I have already. I would like to use the Sapim CX Ray spokes for this build. I would like to get the spokes from you. I have a rear hub with an asymmetric spoking pattern - 16 spokes on the drive side and 8 spokes on the non-drive side. Can the angled spoke drilling be done to accommodate that (i.e. a 2:1 ratio of left-to right holes?).
