Absolutely love my new 46mm wheels! Paired with 25mm GP5000s they ride and handle amazingly well. Fantastic braking performance with the grooved graphene brake track. Could not be happier with my purchase!!

Looks great~ I have a Transonic as well, looking at these very wheels. How do you find these rims in crosswinds?

LightBicycle 2019/04/09

Hi Simon, These road disc rims are with gravel optimized aero shape. For wind tunnel result, normally it is also affect on what tire widths that you use. What tire widht will you use? Then we can check which rims are better for you. Our RR56C02 30mm wide with same profile works great in wind tunnel test. Thanks, Lightbicycle

I'm a road rider, 25mm tires. There are often cross-winds where I usually ride.

LightBicycle 2019/04/10

Hi Simon, If you ride 25mm tires and have cross-wind, we recommend you to order front RR36C02/rear RR46C02. Front shallower/rear deeper combination is better in road wheelset. And also, the rim width is slighter wider than tire width, it is better in aerodynamics. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Lightbicycle, I'm looking at either the RR46C02 or RRU45C02 for riding road and race with 25mm Conti 5000TL Tubeless. I'm torn between these two wheelsets/rims as I would like for it to be as aero as possible with the tire not sticking bulging too much over the rim width. Please advise.

LightBicycle 2019/08/02

Hi Rob, 1. Theoretically, you will gain better aerodynamic performance with the rim wider than your tires over 5%. Compare to AR45(25mm wide), The AR46 (28mm wide) would be better suited for your request. 2. On the other hand, wind condition will also be a consideration for the performance. The AR46 rim shape provides better aerodynamics in no wind and lighter The AR45 rim shape: Rounded "second" leading edge allows for more attached airflow, which reduces drags and increases balancing side force. If your riding area has side wind, it is better to choose AR45. 3. Let me know what else can I help you with. The 25c GP5000 tire would be wider when inflation, here's the measurement we measureed. Thanks, Lightbicycle
