AR46 Disc Review: 46mm Wheels On Giant Defy Advanced 2
COMMENTS
Tadej 2020/06/02
The wheelset feels phenomenal if compared to the stock PR-2 wheelset. AR46 came in at 700 g for the front wheel and 833 for the rear one. It could be a little bit lighter, but I prefer a reliable and strong wheelset anyway. It feels light, stiff and in the wind, I didn't feel unsafe at any point. I also upgraded the stock crankset to Ultegra r8000, got rid of the Giant Conduct brake system, and went full hydraulic with Ultegra R8020&R8070. The Giant contact neutral saddle was everything but comfortable, so I went with a Specialized Power Expert saddle. Oh and yes, there is a new bartape on the bike, but thats a minor thing. Last but not least, I have decided to go with Dura ace 160 mm rotors. I simply prefer their look over Ultegra rotors. Overall, I am very happy with how the bike feels in current state
