I got the 46.5 depth specifically out of concern for crosswinds as a lighter (under 70kg) rider. Where I live now is fairly distant from long climbs but there are surprisingly strong winds relative to the San Francisco Bay Area and Boulder, Colorado in the United States. The winds have no impact on how much I enjoy the ride other than going slower or faster even when I can tell my body has to be tilted slightly to offset a cross wind. I use 25mm in the front and 32MM in the rear, GP5000 S TR. I am curious to try the 55mm depth version of the wheels to see how they hold up in similar conditions (these weren't available when I purchased these wheels). I have a 32MM Roval CL32 wheelset that I rarely use now so it's hard for me to really compare the 465 wheels in terms of road feel and other attributes, but I've had no reason to not love these wheels. I used to have 50mm v section wheels but it's been 5+ years since I rode those regularly. I do remember feeling very uneasy at times from crosswinds on those, even though I was on 23mm or 25 mm tires, and I never feel that way now. Then again, I'm riding in different terrain now versus those past wheels, so maybe it's not a true fair comparison, but again I've had no reason to not like these wheels.
