Wanted to stop by and write a quick review thus far. I ordered my rims a while back and they arrived looking as great as I was hoping. quality was spot on and there were no blems in the cosmetic outer layer. The tire well also looks to be layered up very well and there were no blems that I could find. In general the rims are pretty huge, which is what I was hoping for. My tires seated up perfectly on the first try, and the rims provided me with that reassuring ping that you only get when the tolerances are spot on (Maxxis 2.4s). I was a little concerned that I would have difficulty with tire spacing on my Santa Cruz Tallboy LTc, but there really doesn't seem to be much of a difference in actual tire diameter. Rather, the tread is simply more exposed. I will have to put them on the trail to truly tell you if the wide hype is worth its weight. The sidewalls are certainly more squared off which should equal less folding in under hard cornering. I live in Tucson Arizona USA. and the trails are very rocky out there. So I will likely be testing the rims ability to take some hits every now and again. It is hard to judge just how they will do until I give them a few dozen rides. As far as the buildup of the wheels goes. DT 240s, 15 front 142x12 rear. sapim laser spokes, 32 of em @ 3cross and alloy nips. they built up easy and we ran into no difficulty in the process. Max spoke tension is 180kgf, alas with alloy nips those'd be busting before well before the rims gave out. On my brief roll around they are very stiff and noticeably quicker than my prior wheel set. Im looking forward to see how these rims hold up. given 38mm width there are very good tire options to help keep the rim from bottoming out on a rock. The pressures and widths of the tires are very dynamic, but also vital for a quality ride. having the wide rims i believe will enable me (or anyone) to get similar traction and cornering performance with enough pressure to keep the rims from impacting. I believe your rims have a very promising market here in the US. There are certainly ways to improve sales here, and if you ever have questions on how to better bring your rims to market please let me know. I have 18 years in the cycling industry, and thus far, love your product
